Excellent Bang for the Buck
I had been looking for a dust boot that focused suction around the cutting tool on my ShopSabre CNC. The stock boot for my machine is very well made, but covered a pretty large area, about twice that of the Daedalus. I could buy another heavy duty dust boot designed for my machine, but they run $300-$500. I design and build things for friends and family, so I really didn't want to spend that much.So I bought the Daedalus. It is not as heavy duty as some pro grade dust boots, and I am not knocked out by the bristles....BUTIt works very well. I have a good dust collector, and with the Daedalus there is ZERO dust or chips that escape. I call that a win. It seems solid enough, no problem with tool changes. For the price it is a winner. If I have an issue with the brushes there are parts available. I am very glad I got it.

Works as it should
Works as it should. A little large for my CNC but does a great job!

Best off-the-shelf dust pickup I've seen for CNC
This is the dust collector shoe system I had been looking for to use on my Shark CNC setup. As it comes in several sizes, measure your router or spindle carefully to make sure you get the proper one. Assembly is easy, and the removable boot makes router bit changes straightforward. The perimeter dust brushes are soft but appear durable. As one coworker said, I'm not sure but what it would do most of the dust control you need for smaller jobs without being hooked to the vacuum line; its containment is effective.

Unfortunate design
Well built but too bulky. It will fit on a router but only if the router isn't attached to the machine. Not enough clearance.

FANSTASTIC, if you have clearance behind your spindle for it.
First, I LOVE the design idea. Pulling the front half off to access the spindle and bit without having to wiggle something under the bit is priceless. I could not find one of these for a 65mm spindle/router. The 70mm bushing centers the spindle in the larger spindle hole. I created a bushing with 65mm hole like that. It will not clear my Z-Axis hardware. The FoxAlien Vasto has very little clearance behind the spindle.I made a bushing so the spindle is all the way up against the rear edge of the larger hole (i.e. the rear edge of the dust show). It barely fits in. Its not pretty and the bit occasionally snags the bristles of the brush, but I love the design and the added safety of not fishing under the bit when XYZ-probing.

Nice boot for the right machines.
Lightweight, quality dust boot. I had to return it, because it wouldn't fit on my 80mm spindle, due to clearance issues with the bottom of the z axis extrusion. I wish it would've fit, and I even considered making modifications to make it work. Nice boot for the money tho.

Worth the money.
Works very well. Even with a less than stellar dust collector most of the dust was picked up. I had to make some adjustments to the dust collection hose. My CNC is a ShopBot.

Does exactly what it's designed to do
Most dust boots I looked at has the brush also go under where the hose connects. When working with wood it's often 3/4" thick or more so the front of the dust boot can suck in air. Also any chips that isn't sucked up by the dust collector can come out from under the brush. This design is much better to prevent it.The PVC is durable and plenty strong. The snaps that hold the front half on work very well. With the front removed there's plenty of room to get wrenches on the spindle nut. Being PVC it can be modified to work with your specific CNC machine. Plus it uses a 4" dust hose so less restrictions. Over all it's a good design.
