Just pulled these out of the box and haven't installed them yet, but I felt compelled to come leave a review for anyone else who might be on the fence about this product. I'm a machinist and casual carpenter who likes to build instead of buy furniture, and these seemed perfect for my current project so I wanted to give them a try.Out of the box, they are heavy gauge steel, enough that I can't possibly bend them with my bare hands. I can tell they'll do a fine job at tabletop affixation. They're also completely free of burrs and sharp edges, which was surprising, and also nicely packaged. Overall, I would recommend if you're in the market for a bracket like this.

Simple and effective method for attaching a wood tabletop - the slots allow for movement of the wood as it expands and contracts, thus preventing the tabletop from cracking or warping. Place the slots crosswise across the grain, not parallel. So much easier than cutting slots for other types of fasteners! I was looking all over for them and happy to find them here. My only wish is that they offer a range of different sizes - could use something larger for another project. And that cost was more reasonable - seems quite a bit higher than what other hardware of this type costs. Still, the time and effort you save could be worth the extra cost.

These are really good quality and heavy gauge connectors for wood top connections. the large elongated slots are opposing and leave plenty of room for wood expansion. I have used these on many projects and have ordered several more to have on inventory for projects. Simple, but effective and good quality. Win-win.

Used these to install a wood top on a wood base for an outdoor table. Works well, allows expansion of the wood while securing the top.

I used these to replace the plastic brackets that came with my drafting table to hold the accessory trays on its edges. Several of them had broken over time with just normal handling and I couldn't find the replacement parts online. These are metal instead of plastic and though slightly thinner, they are ten times stronger.

These are very clever and of good design. The extra long slots allow for wood movement in 2 directions. My only complaint as that screws were not included. Therefore, I gave a 3 for value.
