Dutton-Lainson Company 6121 Plated Finish Spare Tire Bracket

This is my second mount to match what I already have, giving me 2 spare tires for my boat trailer. We travel a lot to different lakes from California to Nevada or Arizona during boat season. So having 2 spares are better than one. All necessary hardware is included to mount. It's pretty much a no brainer that someone can steal your spare just by loosening the bolts. Why even bother giving it a bad review. You're pretty much a fool or just plain stupid to think that its theft proof. Buy yourself one of those locks or use a bike cable lock to prevent theft. Even then, if someone wants to steal your spare, theyll take it regardless. Product is heavy duty. Since its zinc it will not rust like other mount. As I stated this is my second one to match my other that I've had for nearly 2 years. We launch in salt and fresh water and the mount nor the bolts have form rust. I definitely recommend this particular mount to get rather than the others out there.

I bought the Dutton-Lainson 6121 spare tire carrier to replace a POS Harbor Freight tire carrier that snapped, leaving the spare tire dangling and ready to fall on the road. This spare tire carrier is HEAVY DUTY, very strong and sturdy, nice thick welds and thick metal. Some people complain the tire isn't secure from theft, just add a cable and lock and the tire is secure from theft.The only thing I wasn't 100% happy with was the 2 lug bolts held on with retaining washers, so I drilled and additional hole and welded in 3 lug studs that use the same nuts as the trailer lugs. That said, it would have been 100% functional with the lug bolt hardware that was included.

This model was on my boat trailer and both trailers have the same size tires so I move the spare between the two. So I purchased the same carrier. Works great. Only issue I noticed is the frame mount bolts on the new one had less thread than the original for the same length bolts. But it did tighten up and had barely enough threads for the frame mount. Comes with bolts for spare tire too.

Well built tire mount. Includes all hardware needed to mount to a trailer. I easily mounted a new 13" tires 5 lug to the tongue of my trailer. I will use a bike cable lock to help prevent theft.

I have an I-beam trailer and this is the ONLY tire carrier big enough to go over the standard I-beam. I've had Fulton products for everything and they're crap. Now everything on my boat trailer is DL. 10/10 Recommend.

The bracket will not fit 6 lug wheels as indicated by the seller. I had to do some major mods to the bracket and mount up side down to make it work for my 6 lug trailer wheels

I had no problems with is tire mount. Built well. Good price!

Does what it was intended to do. Nothing fancy.
