TUTTOCALABRIA Calabrian Crushed Dry Chili Pepper Flakes, Large Shaker, 250g

Excellent flake texture, not much dusty powder. Not super hot (which I miss) but flavorful.

We eat a lot of red pepper flakes so the large size was great and they tasted great. Lots of ways to use them. Mid range on the heat level-but we eat a lot of spicy foods. Price was in line with the quantity. The only problem we had was with closing the lid, once we opened it it was hard to get it to stay closed.

Great tasting pepperoncino - use with care - has a lot of heat if you use a lot. Container lid is stiff and hard to turn but you can wrestle it open with a towel.

I bought this red pepper in June and saw a live fly come out today while shaking it out on some food. Upon closer inspection, the product is crawling with flies and maggots / larvae. See the video I uploaded. I'm absolutely disgusted that I've been eating this and serving it to my family, including my toddler, for several weeks. The product is clearly not processed properly and ships with insects/eggs/larvae, making it unfit for consumption. To make matters worse, I was on the phone with Amazon customer support for 45 minutes before they agreed to credit me the $14 I paid for it because the product was "outside the 30-day return window." I'll now have to throw out about $50 of food I cooked with it today, and try to forget about the weeks I've spent eating it and serving it to my family. Stay clear of this product. I wish I saw some of the negative reviews before ordering, as this apparently has been an issue for some time.
