Back saver!!!
Such a great product!! I wasn’t sure at first if this would have many benefits but I can honestly say after using this on a shoot all day in a gym last week that this saves my back and arms! Very good build quality unlike a lot of third party manufacturers! Handles are comfy, screw in tight. The feet are sturdy once you screw them down and gimbal balances easily meaning the frame is solid!Such a good product and a fair price in comparison to DJI

Good quality ring grip but not so steady when you out your gimbal on it
The ring is very solid but the bit where you attach your gimbal on (ronin s) in my case always gets loose after few minutes and you can see all the shakyness of me walking in the footage and have to re tighten it every few minutes. Just wished it had a more solid option to tighten things properly for the ronin s

A must have accessory!
Small one-handed gimbals nowadays can carry huge payloads, like this Ursa Mini Pro 12K with a V-Lock and Zeiss 25mm lens which I easily balanceed on my Crane 3S. However, the problem then is actually carrying it - I found holding the gimbal with the single handle it came with put all the weight on one arm, which not only means it's hard to do long takes, but also it's not a very stable way to hold the gimbal. So I decided to purchase this ring accessory from Digitalfoto!Setting it up is easy, it comes in a nice carry case, and you simply have to attach the quick release plate to the bottom of the gimbal (which you can leave on permenently if you like), which also has two locking pins keeping it safe from rotating on the Crane 3S. Then you attach the rubber hand grips to each half of the ring, balance your camera as normal, and you're good to go!The ring is all metal besides the lovely rubber handles (which are very grippy so you don't feel your hands will slip (and honestly I actually preferred the grips to the Ronin 2, which often feels a little slippy). It can take the weight of the gimbal easily without any flex, it feels super solid and robust. The feet are just big enough to stand the gimbal up easily on most terrain. Having feet to be able to put the gimbal down whenever you need is SO useful - although with the Crane 3S you get a mini tripod, holding the gimbal with one hand whilst trying to unfold the mini tripod to set it down is a nightmare, so it's so much better just being able to put the gimbal on the floor straight after a take with the Digitalfoto ring! The ring also comes with a nice carry bag, which is pretty small as the ring comes apart into the two halves. It also comes with a mount which gives you some 1/4 inch threads for attaching accessories like monitors, though of course you can always buy more clamps to attach extra batteries, wireless video transmitters etc. The kit also comes with all the allen key sizes you need to make any adjustments to the gimbal, the setup isn't totally toolless as you do need to fold the feet back in to comfortably fit it into its carry bag after use, which does need an allen key, but it's not a big deal.Operating the gimbal with the ring is also a tonne easier, it feels more stable holding it with two hands, and distributing the weight better means you can hold bigger payloads for longer. On top of that, it also makes it compatible with easyrigs which makes things even better still! I found it easy getting smooth tracking shots, going from high angles to low angles, and even holding it from the top of the ring to get really low down tracking shots.Honestly I'd say it's a pretty essential buy for owners of heavier gimbals like the Crane 3S, but even if you're using smaller gimbals with lighter payloads, it makes operating so much easiler that I'd still recommend it! I can't recommend it enough!
