Excellent Idea, Terrible & Disappointing Execution.
I love pork rinds and I also love seafood and salmon in particular, so my expectations were high. Sadly, this product fails miserable in delivery. The texture is soft like a stale, thin pork rind left out in the air too long, the smell is overwhelmingly like rancid fish, and the flavor is also somewhat rancid, and unlike eating salmon or pork rinds, causes one to belch horrid rancid fish burps for hours afterwards. Definitely avoid this extremely disappointing and super expensive product. For the price, this should be the caviar of protein chip products, but instead you feel immediately cheated. I would give it zero stars if it were possible. I wish I could get a refund.

My New Favorite Snack
I absolutely LOVE these! Bold and different, I love salmon and the skins anyway, so of course. Two of the 4 flavors do have a strong fishy smell when the bag is opened. I was fine with that but some folks may find it to be too much. They don't taste like that though, they have a light taste and are crunchy and delicious. I'd be happier if they had a No Salt variety, maybe in the future, they've already added a new 5th flavor. They are a little pricey for a snack but they're so unique I'm willing to pay, and I am ordering more.

It is what it says
You are getting what you wanted --- Salmon skins. I'm not sure why people are so surprised about the fishy smell and taste. Some of the flavors are pretty weird. I personally like the seasalt and wouldn't get anything else. Although these are nice keto chips, I don't think they're worth the price at $25 for 4 bags. No way.

Meh.....
I like fish and I like salmon I like chips. This I don't like this. It tasted like fish food flakes. And had a pungent aroma of fish, keep in mind I lost most of my sense of smell from covid and I could smell it.The taste was ok, not what I was hoping for.The only way I could describe it if you had some really white friends that had this in there pantry cabinet then go ahead and try them.

Neat idea, horrible taste
10g of protein for 80 calories is not bad!I ate two pieces, it wasn't too bad, just like fishy pork skins, but when I took a bite out of the third piece, I literally threw up (twice!) And had to rush to the sink to rinse my mouth. It wasn't a bad "fishy" flavor, just a horrible, terrible flavor that immediately triggered my gag reflex. Like dry rot mixed with the dust from your vacuum cleaner, hard to describe.I actually felt relieved when the flavor of vomit filled my mouth. I'm an adventurous eater and this was absolutely the least palatable thing I have ever put in my mouth.I dont know WHAT was on or in that third piece, but if anyone wants the other three packs out of my sampler pack they'll be in the trash.

New Favorite Snack
This is our families new favorite snack. I'm so glad that we took a leap of faith and tried this item, despite some negative reviews. We tried the Discovery pack first, which is a trial pack of four different flavors. We all absolutely loved the SpicyBbq. The SeaSalt was also pretty good. i was not a fan of the Chili Lime, which tasted artificial and left a a bitter aftertaste. My guess is most of the negative reviews were speaking about this one. The tart Cranberry, which many people liked, was 'meh' to me. The starter pack did not have the Sriracha Lemongrass, which is a pity. in general, I liked the more basic flavors, because Salmon skins are pretty good by themselves with a little salt. I just wish the skins were a little cheaper, but for now, at this price, they will be a occasional treat rather than a regular snack.

Unsuitable Design for a Salmon Skin Snack
I don’t find the smell too fishy or the texture too unlike other snacks - crunchy. However, I have a lot of problems with the balance of flavors and textures. And I suspect that other people also had the same issue but couldn’t pinpoint it. It’s similar to how I would imagine cardboard sprinkled with the flavoring they used. Or very overcooked salmon sprinkled with the flavoring. And the product sits in your mouth uncomfortably the same way.I believe their issue is that the texture is not allowing the salmon skin to rehydrate quickly enough in your mouth. It reminds me actually a lot of chicharrones when I bite into it. However salmon skin is not pork rinds, so what works for chicharrones might not work for salmon skin. In addition salmon skin isn’t like potato chips, which quickly rehydrate in your mouth.I think a thinner, flatter, and smoother shape would work better, similar to the seaweed snacks from Japan. (The aftertaste of the salmon skin is actually almost identical to those seaweed snacks.) That way, when you bite into it, the thinness of the salmon skin would allow it to rehydrate quickly and melt in your mouth, binding the flavoring. It’s not a typical texture of a chip - it’s not crunchy - but it’s probably more suitable for something like salmon skin.

Definitely what was expected...
I see a lot of mixed reviews. Yes these have a very fishy taste and smell (which is to be expected, honestly). They’re very crunchy, so far I’ve just tried the sea salt variety but excited to try the others. Not a lot of chips/skins per bag but what you get are pretty large pieces. Trying to watch calorie intake and find other, better alternatives to potato/rice chips so smaller intakes and servings per bag is what I was looking for. I’d buy them again!
