Quality taurine hits you quickly, taken on an empty stomach. It imparts relaxation and is purportedly good for brain, eyes, heart, liver. I found this one to be very effective but a bit pricey.

I like the pharmaceutical grade. I don't feel a difference in my health and don't know if it really does anything, but I am taking it to remain in good health. I don't have any health issues currently.
