Ordered these when I got a new set of pedals for my sim racing setup to stop my chair from moving back when I hit the brake. I don't have a proper rig and I sit at my L shaped desk to race. Saw another review with someone similar that said this was the same reason they bought them, so I immediately bought this set of wheels! And boy do they work for what I wanted them to. I have the Thrustmaster T3PM pedals, that I believe go up to 100kg of braking force with the stiffest spring, and the wheels don't move an inch while I'm racing. That being said, they do have trouble re-orienting themselves to slide in another direction while unlocked, but it's far from a deal breaker and they glide VERY smooth. Muscle memory will kick in soon than later and you'll barely notice it. Overall good product. Would definitely buy more if I had a use for them

My Ikea office chair worked great for several years, but the casters don't roll very well. Furthermore, once I got an under-desk elliptical exercise machine, I suddenly needed the chair to not roll backwards. After trying caster cups and even installing a handle on my desk to hang onto, I finally decided to look for a better solution. This set of roller blade style casters with built-in brakes seemed to fit the bill, but unfortunately Ikea uses a slightly smaller stem size than the 7/16" (11mm) stems that are almost universal in North America. So I got a 7/16" drill bit and slightly enlarged the sockets in the chair legs. The new casters then fit perfectly, and now the chair works great for my purposes. The brakes are engaged all the time because I usually don't want the chair rolling around. With these brakes, the chair really stays rigidly in one spot and I can do my leg exercises unimpeded. If you disengage the brakes, the chair rolls quite smoothly, and if you engage the brakes, it won't roll at all. I love these casters; they do exactly what I needed and so far, after a week's use, seem quite well built and stable. If that changes, I'll update this review. But so far, they seem to be a great product at a very good price.

I decided to purchase some mounting sleeves and install these wheels on outdoor planter boxes to make it easier to move the plants into the sun or into the shade or whatever. They're perfect for the application in terms of performance, but longevity may be a question as I'm seeing a bit if rust after just a few weeks. I intend on spraying them with some lubricant to see if that helps delay the rusting, but honestly, they're great wheels and are easy on the deck and super easy to pull around when the brake is off or secure in place when the brake is on.

These babies popped right on my office chair with no problems. I like the rubber on the wheels it makes rolling across the hardwood floor almost silent. I particularly got these wheels so that I can clamp them down so the chair does not move on the wood floor. I have a racing chair that I use in my racing simulation setup so this was great and worked really well. The wheels do not slide. Even when I have to slam on the brakes because some moron in front of me decides to cut me off and then put on their brakes. The only weird thing about these is if you are rolling the chair in one direction and want to change direction it is resistant to turning the wheel to the correct direction without a little extra effort. But that is a small issue in the big view of things.

Bought these because I need wheels that could lock in place so that I don't push myself off whenever I slam my pedals. Very little noise when moving on wood floors and won't wear down the flooring like my old wheels did. Moving around feels really smooth until you push yourself into the opposite direction, then the wheels will sometimes skid until they rotate into place. The brakes work great, very sturdy and only need at least 2 to halt movement. Unlocking the brakes is a little sketch though because they really snap back into place and makes me feel like it could break. Still very much worth the price.

Works well. Does not scratch wooden floors. Very sturdy.

Why don't chairs come with this installed, I swear furniture companies are removing convenient parts to their furniture designs just like car manufacturers, and then charging you later to add them back. The wheels are great, they even add a bit of hight for those cheap chairs that can't maintain their hight settings on high, we can't all be weathermen some of us are unfortunate to be born shortkings. The wheels are surprisingly quiet, even on a creaky work out wood floor, travel feels smooth and the lock is tight unlocking is a bit of a hassle don't unlock the wheels with your hands, you can hurt yourself. Avoid replacing your wheels with something cheap, spend a little and get these instead, they are surprisingly quiet, with great travel, the locks are very good, just becarefull unlocking it with anything outside of you wearing shoes.

The wheels are smooth and rolls okay but the wheels do this weird chattering noise if moved remotely fast. Kind of annoying since I roll around a lot in my chair. Locks seem to work good but they could of used a better bearing in the swivel.

These are easy to attach to your chair as a nice upgrade, they're a higher ride from the floor - see my attached photo for size comparison to regular wheels. They greatly decrease friction even on my carpeted office floor. They're sturdy and have flawless spinning/ gliding. My only concern is that the breaks stick out horizontally when unlocked, so you have to be careful not to scrape your ankles. I would absolutely buy again.

Slicing my ankles too many times on the lock tabs for wheels They make clicking noises a lot Don't buy these . Very sharp edges on the brake tabs . Working from home no shoes on they slice your ankles
