Dake Annotated Reference Bible-KJV Bonded Leather – May 15, 2015

I purchased this Bible with some reservations, from what I found it the claims were it was highly readable even for most the same size. They were right, the text size on the `Little Dake'is clear and easily read even for my 55 year old eyes--I do wear glasses. I have enjoyed using the Dake for several years now, and have the large print hard cover, the large print leather, and now the small--take to church with you size.I love this Bible for several reasons. The portability is ultra important, its nice to sit in the church pews and get insight into what a verse says with Dake's many notes as the preacher delivers his sermon.At the end of each chapter are study notes for that particular book of the Bible you are studying The concordance is second to none listing all words found in the text, a person can rapidly find a certain verse--with ease.Dake takes and breaks down the chapters of the Bible into meticulous outlines to prepare the reader for the upcoming verses he or she is about to read. I love this feature and can get an instant context before even reading the verse or verses.The paper can be highlighted with ease--no bleed through. Commands, prophecy, and when God speaks are clearly known and marked so can be prepared and sharpen up for what your about to read.I collect study Bibles. The Dake I use most days--along with several others as well. I highly recommend this Bible as an essential tool in any ones Bible study time. The notes are easy to understand written in clear precise form.As for the cons, the text is a bit to close to the inner seams, not burdensome, but indeed noticeable. It has a vinyl cover on it--I do hope they come out with a genuine leather version of this excellent study Bible.As in all study Bibles no one will agree totally with all the notes that are written. With that said I need to say this its a must have in any serious student of the Bible library.

I make it a goal of mines to read the whole Bible yearly. To make things interesting, I use different translations every year. I find that the Dake Annotated Reference Bible-KJV is pressed down, shaken together, and running over with information that no other Bible has. It is a manna fest! Often times I get so full of reading and studying the Dake as well as the Amplified Bible that it is my meditation all the day and night. You will find gold nuggets everywhere; words and sentences that you will take for granted; the Dake Bible will define and amplify it. I often find myself in shock! Your biblical knowledge will grow leaps and bounds if you properly read and study the Dake Annotated Reference Bible-KJV. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the wisdom, knowledge,and revelation of His WORD and to deposit every WORD into all of your facilties; your very being and He will store his sweet, aged wine inside of you.I highly recommend the Dake's and consider it a must read to all Bible Students.Ardree

I love Dakes Annotated Reference Bible, once you learn the basics on how to navigate through the scripture with Dakes notes, understanding and revelation explode of the pages. Questions I had were answered and explained. There is a complete set of notes after each book of the bible - the insight into the Word of God is amazing. I have read a lot of commentaries of the Bible and this one is the tops. I do not recommend this bible as a first bible for a new christian - the text is KJV - King James Version and may be hard to understand -(I suggest The Open Bible - New Living Traslation for a first bible) Anyway, as I always read reviews for products I want to buy when on Amazon - I thought I would leave one. I have had many bible, king James, new king james, NIV, all types of study bibles, amplified etc, etc...but none of them is as clear and specific as the notes on the Dake's bible. When I purchased this bible I totally fall in love of the word the didn't seem to be enough hours in the day to read my bible and suddenly everything, every verse made sense, chapters and verses that were not very clear when I read the notes and they were supported with other chapters and verses of the bible that's when it was clear as water! I love my Dake's bible ! And I would recommended to anyone.

Very fine what I wanted!

I have used the Dake Annotated Reference Bible for over thirty years. This Bible is one of the best, if not THE best study aid around for Christian studies. It is filled with commentary, a great concordance, Hebrew and Greek words and on and on. You will find teachings in this Bible that many churches and ministers don't understand but Dake gives tons of scripture to back up each of his teachings. If I had to pick three study aids to help me study Christianity, this would be number 1 followed by a Strong's Concordance and probably a Thompson Chain Reference Bible. You definitely won't be disappointed with this book!
