The Kelvin temperature rating for this is 2700K, so this is on the warm side, like an incandescent. So yellowish, not as crisp white. I hope that helps.

Can the sylvania 40807, 75w equivalent, 11w actual, 2700k color temp, be used in a completely enclosed light fixture?

This one, the non-dimmable, cannot be completely enclosed. But the dimmable versions...74685 (75w repl) and 40734 (100w repl) all 2700K can be operated in enclosed fixtures. I hope that helps you.
