SIRUI AM-25S Video Tripod 74.8", Fluid Head, Quick Release, Max Load 22lb

I’ve only used this tripod for a short time so far, but I’m honestly very impressed. For around $130, I didn’t expect this level of build quality and stability. I use it with a Sony a6700 and a Tamron 17-70mm lens, and the setup feels very stable on this tripod. The fluid head movements are smooth, controlled, and much better than I expected at this price point. Panning and tilting feel predictable, which makes it much easier to get clean video shots. The tripod itself feels well made and thoughtfully designed. The legs are solid, the head feels sturdy, and overall it gives the impression of a much more expensive piece of gear. The only downside is that it is definitely big and heavy. This is not a travel tripod, and I wouldn’t take it on a flight unless I was ready to pay for extra baggage. But for home use, studio work, local shoots, or situations where portability is not the main priority, it’s an excellent option. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. For the price, this tripod offers a lot of value and feels much more professional than I expected.

This is a great tripod for my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Cameras Heave duty aluminum alloy for any rig I put on it. Great for my studio setup This tripod is not a light weight travel tripod, but for a studio setting where stability is needed. As with every SIRUI product I have purchased I would strongly recoment this tripod wor anybody who needs a heavy duty tripod.

While the SIRUI AM-25S tripod may have been made for video camera mounting, I use it to mount both the Celestron 15x70 and 25x100 binoculars for astronomy which weigh about 3.2 and 8+ pounds respectively. I can say without question it can handle both of them with ease. The 15x70 binoculars are no problem at all. Any minor problems I had with mounting the 25x100 have nothing to do with the tripod and more to do with the built-in rod and adapter on the big binoculars that doesn't tighten down like it should. This results in a loose wobble effect like an airplane dipping its wings for the big binoculars but once balanced the can be used to view the heavens. It's a minor problem. I'm thinking about using some Teflon tape on the rod to tighten things down. We'll see. But, 5 stars for the tripod!!! The only question I have is how long with the fluid last? The plastic Celestron tripod adapter that comes with the 15x70 binoculars is susceptible to even the slightest vibration. Use some kind of gasket or o-ring when you attach it and it will be much better.

I'm a casting director and also offer audition recording services for actors. I use a top of the line consumer camera with an attached boom mic, so nothing too heavy, but this tripod could clearly handle much heavier professional gear. During auditions, and going from record session to record session, the height of the camera is constantly adjusting up and down to accommodate actor height differences, sitting, standing, etc. This has been a challenge for the lighter weight consumer tripods, even with the larger legs, but not enough to justify a big and bulky $600+ tripod geared more towards professional gear. However, the SIRUI AM-255 is the "just right" fit between consumer and professional needs, to include the price. The floating head is a bonus feature I never knew how much I needed and wanted. The added height from previous, less stable 72" options is really helpful with actors over 6 foot. My last tripod was a top price point among consumer offerings, much heavier duty than previous options, but there was an audible sound whenever tilting up and down that was very frustrating. Not so with the AM-255. All is quiet and smooth, and the unit is super stable, easy to raise and lower without risking pinched fingers while doing so. The size and weight are sturdy, but lightweight enough to travel with for remote projects. If I had a additional casting or recording rooms, I'd purchase this tripod again and again, but as one of my actor clients noted while admiring my new purchase - "This may go with you to the grave it's so well built!"

Great product! We bough this for our church service broadcast and it works well for us. Really easy to set up and mount the camera. The head is really smooth when you pan the camera. Great quality tripod

Build quality on this is fantastic. Heavy duty, supports my camera and teleprompter with no issues. Not the type of tripod you’d travel with but good for shooting videos in your office or studio with a mirrorless set up. I’d heard a lot of good things about Sirui prior to this, and the max weight capacity of 22lbs caught my eye. Very happy with this purchase.

I am gradually upping my game in videography and photography. I recently purchased a 160mm lens for my digital camera. I quickly learned that my old tripod wasn't up to the task of carrying this beast of a lens, so I started shopping for a more sturdy tripod. I chose the SIRUI AM-25S Video Tripod because it is rated to carry a heavy camera, and it is tall enough for me (I'm 6'4", and I want my lens at eye level). I just received my SIRUI AM-25S Video Tripod and have yet to use it on an incident, but my confidence is high! If I feel otherwise after using it for a while, I'll amend my review. For now I'll say this is an amazing tripod and a shockingly good value.

This tripod feels sturdy and lightweight, making it suitable for video use. While not ideal for hiking, it can easily be stored in your car trunk. The tripod had no problems supporting my 9 lb rig. It seems more expensive than it looks, and I appreciate the adjustable fluid head for its price point. Panning motion is smooth, although tilt movement is slightly tighter; however, it's not a major issue. Unfortunately, my unit had QC issues with one of the legs, which dampened my initial experience with Sirui products. Although I decided to try a different brand due to this issue, overall, I believe this tripod is an excellent value at $129. If you're working within a budget, I highly recommend considering this tripod – it's quite a bargain! In this price range, finding a better alternative would be challenging.

This tripod is sturdy and the fluid head is running smoothly, it would be good enough for amateurs and professionals alike. It is heavy so it is not a travel tripod, but if you need a sturdy non vibrating tripod and don't want to spend thousands this is it. I can't comment on the long-term reliability as I didn't have it for long enough but the quality appears to be good to last for a long time. It comes with a good bag. I use it for spotting scope that needs stability and no vibration due to its large magnification.

Yup, they jacked up the price by more than double. It is a fantastic product though. Very complex but they made a very good tripod.

Super trépied, je m'en sers pour des jumelles astro bien lourde et ça fonctionne bien, pour le prix je n'aurai pas mieux, le trépied monte vraiment haut si besoin, je ne me casse pas la nuque et il est bien stable une fois bien installé, j'ai essayé d'autres moin chère mais la qualité est trop basse voir inexistante, la c'est le meilleur trouver sans me ruiner, je recommande vivement
