Mr. Pen- Metal Carpenter Square, 8 x 12 Inch

Absolutely love this!! Very nice quality. Black with white letters is easy to read. Has a nice solid weight to it so it will stay put and isn’t going to bend. Even has an hole so it can be hung when not in use. Excellent price at only $6.85!!

This carpenter square is for crafting projects and paper arts and I wanted something made of metal but with a nice finish so nothing could get messed up or torn during use. Many "tool-like" measuring tools are made for wood or metal and no real thought to the finish being smooth and safe for work with more delicate surfaces but this one is great. Smooth, yet hefty, accurate measurements and an excellent square will make this a go-tool tool in my papercrafting and stamping arsenal. Works well and doesn't shift around during use. Quite happy with all my Mr. Pen purchases.

How do you review a ruler? Hmmmmmmm....It's correct. It doesn't get stretched out or warped. This is a GREAT angle ruler though and a great straight edge. No sure what YOU are looking for in a ruler........but don't pass this one up!

This is a framing square marked on one side in inches (graded down to 16ths of an inch) and on the other side in centimeters (graded down to millimeters). Measurement ticks are marked on both the inside and outside edges, and zero is spot-on, at the corners. The two legs are a little over 20 cm (8 inches) and a little over 30 cm (12 inches) long. The longer leg is 1.5 inches (just under 4 cm) wide, and the shorter one is 1 inch (about 2.5 cm) wide. The square is strong (steel, I believe), and (it's tough for me to measure this) at least 1 mm thick, but definitely less than 2 mm thick. There is a hole near the corner, which I presume is for hanging the square on a nail. I purchased the version with white markings and print on a black base for placement in photographs of small things, for the purpose of measuring their size. The print quality is good, and the paint seems durable.

I bought this to use to sell pendants on eBay to show the dimensions. It is nice and works well, but it is reflective, and so you can see my reflection in the pictures or reflections of a nearby window. I have spent a lot of time removing my image from the pictures and also removing dust which shows up quite noticeably. If you intend to use this to photograph, just be aware of its limitations. Edited to add: the seller contacted me and resolved the issue for me, and so I added a star for great customer service.
