Heats the Garage
Installed in a small 2-car garage that is also my wood shop. Installed as per the instructions and this thing can throw some heat! I did purchase longer thermostat wiring and located it about twenty feet away. My only criticism is the thermostat that came with it: the setting arm and thermometer did not match at all, so I had no idea what temp I was setting it to. I opted for a digital one that I purchased at Amazon (Emerson 1E78-140). I have moved a lot and therefore several garages/shops that I have heated with kerosene, torpedo heaters, electric, etc. and this is the first house I've had natural gas in so trying this one out was a no brainer and I am very happy with it.

Almost killed me
I dislike that this product was installed correctly & vented correctly yet almost killed me by releasing deadly amounts of carbon monoxide. It took a long time to figure out why i was So sick. I had migraine Headaches every day, lethargy, stomach issues and still suffer from some effects of the poisoning. Mostly with my long term memory and lethargy. I was Very close to dying. I finally realized it was the heater and sure enough the levels were at 600 ppm detected by our local gas company.

Pilot flame a little large
The heater works just as advertised. Ensure you ventilate the space with either the wall vent pack that comes with the unit or crack a window. You will need the appropriate adapters and shut-off valve to make all the final connections. You can order a separate natural/propane gas connection kit with the unit; which is what I did. The pilot flame is a little large when the unit is not actually "on" but all works okay. As everyone else has noted also, the thermostat wire could be a little longer (only about 10' of wire provided). I would have liked to mount the thermostat further away from the unit. I have a separate thermostat in the space, about 25' from the heater, and the unit turns off way before the set temperature is actually achieved due to the controlling thermostat, which comes with the unit, is so close to the heater. You may want to have a separate longer roll of thermostat wire handy when you're installing the unit so you place the thermostat in a more appropriate place further from the unit. Remember, the unit is an infrared heater...it heats you and objects, not the air in the space.

Great heater for the money!
This heater I bought for a 2.5 car insulated garage. Its easy to install, I already had the gas pipe sticking out of wall prior to buying heater. I ran black pipe along wall to back of heater then used a 2 foot long flex pipe from heater to black pipe, to give it a nice clean look. Only thing i didn't like about installation was where the black wall bracket mounts to heater is a little bit flimsy, i used a thin metal shim to give it a tight fit. I mounted the included thermostat as far away form heater as the included wire would allow. I have not installed the included wall vent, I don't think I will need it because I am only keeping garage around 50 degrees. The heater works quite well, its nice and quiet, efficient, I will update once I start using it on a daily basis.

Great heater
I just turned it on for season three and it fired right up after another off season. My 3 car garage walls and door are insulated and it runs very little to keep the space at 45+/- all winter in Michigan. I'll kick it up if I want to do something out there and it heats up in little time. I put a small fan on the wall next to it circulate the heat. Great little space heater.

Can't say enough good things about this heater.
Fully recommend purchasing this. If it's needed, don't hesitate.

No electricity needed.
The only issue I had was getting the bracket to fit the welded bracket on the back of the heater. The bracket had weld on the inside of the bracket which interfered with the wall bracket. Other than that it’s fantastic. I will be buying another one so I can use two of them in my garage.
