An ex-roomate and ex-boyfriend rusted it out and destroyed it. The coloring on this one isn't quite as attractive but once I got over that, I took a close examination of the teapot. It's super cute, very attractive. The spout is much nicer on this one; this is a major improvement. The old design required you to pull it out and that was quickly destroyed by the ex. This one flips up which is a brilliant design. It's manufactured well and easy to clean. I'm happy to see they have a lot of the old designs as well, along with new ones. I can't explain why this little teapot brings me so much joy. Perhaps because it was a fairly inexpensive kitchen item that is super useful and makes hot water for tea and noodles. Perhaps it's because it reminds me of my old teapot and better days, before COVID and nationwide riots. This year has been miserable; I've lost several pets, friends have lost their jobs and businesses, so much death, and complete chaos everywhere you look. But this one little teapot, warming water for tea... in that period of time, preparing, heating the water, choosing a tea, and hearing the whistle of the teapot, for that moment in time, I can relax and shut off the world for just a brief period of time. I don't have to worry about work, or who is going to die next from COVID, or about looting and violence in the streets. Just me and my tea. And it's just too cute to look at. Thank you to the manufacturer and seller. It came quickly and in good condition. Thank you for the improved design. Thank you for bringing some calm to my day during a period of complete and maddening chaos. Review: Works well, LOVE it. - The first few times I used this kettle, it wasn't "whistling", but I think it had to work it's way in because after the first few times, it started making noise. I think this kettle is absolutely adorable and I LOVE the whistle. My uncle was a dairy farmer, and I do like the extremely unique sound of this kettle, it's much lower than the traditional whistle, but I'm a Senior Citizen, so it's very important for me to hear that noise so I don't boil the pot dry, If you over fill the pot, it will dribble on the stove and sometimes condensation will make the cow spit, but it's only water. I've had problems with a recent tea pot purchase. Bought one that had silicone over the handle. What a terrible mistake THAT was in engineering! Apparently, when silicone gets hot, it slides/moves! So when you went to pick up the hot kettle, the silicon sleeve would slip off the pot handle AND to compound the error, the lever you had to push down on to let the water out, also had a silicone sleeve, which continually would fall off due to the heat. Got burned on that kettle numerous times. These are things you wouldn't know until you already bought it. Guaranteed, you will always know when your water has boiled with this moo! ## Features - Introducing the Watermelon Whistling Tea Kettle for Stovetop - a charming and practical addition to enhance your kitchen decor. With its delightful watermelon-shaped design and vibrant colors, this stovetop tea kettle is perfect for those who seek a touch of fruity whimsy in their kitchen accessories. - One of its unique features is the pleasant sounds it emits while boiling water. It produces a gentle harmonica melody at low boil and a car horn whistling sound when the water reaches boiling point, alerting you that your water is ready for brewing your favorite hot beverages. This adds a delightful touch to the tea-making process, making it an enjoyable experience. - Crafted from durable enamel-coated steel, this tea kettle is built to last and effortless to clean. The 1.6 quart capacity makes it ideal for preparing tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and other delightful hot beverages for both you and your guests. The heavy gauge steel core ensures excellent heat distribution, while the enamel finish adds an extra layer of protection and enhances its overall aesthetic appeal. - While enamelware is dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended for best results. Allow your tea kettle to cool before cleaning. Use warm, soapy water with a soft sponge or cloth to clean the kettle's exterior and interior gently. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool to prevent scratching the enamel surface. Never boil the kettle dry, as it may damage the enamel coating. Always ensure there is enough water in the kettle before heating. - Looking for a practical and stylish gift idea for your loved ones who enjoy watermelon decor or cute kitchen accessories? Look no further than the Watermelon Whistling Tea Kettle. Packaged in an adorable gift box, this tea kettle is the perfect gift for fruit lovers and a delightful housewarming present that they'll appreciate and use for years to come. It's sturdy, weighty, and so cute. I love that the inside was enameled, rather than stainless. I really loved the whistle. It wasn't shrill at all, and more like a two-tone train whistle. Sadly, after two years it quit whistling. I took the mechanism apart to see if I could fix it, and found that one of the little vibrating pieces had broken off. It won't whistle without both of them. I really need a whistler, so tossed it and bought another brand, which was cheaper, and I'm really not happy with the flimsiness of the new kettle, and the whistle that is so shrill that it hurts my ears. I'll use it for a while, but hope it conks out soon so I can just buy this one again. My little watermelon kettle was my all-time favorite! ## Frequently Bought Together - Whistling Tea Kettle for Stove Top Enamel on Steel Teakettle, Supreme Housewares Watermelon Design Teapot Water Kettle Cute Kitchen Accessories Teteras (1.6 Quart, Watermelon Ver 1) - Fasmov 2.5L Enamel Teapot, Large Porcelain Enameled Teakettle, Floral Colorful Tea Kettle with Handle for Stovetop, Retro Steel Teapot for Hot Water, No Whistling - Hiceeden 2.6 Quart Enamel Tea Pot for Stovetop, Pink Vintage Tea Kettle with Floral Pattern, 2.5 L Delicate Cute Steel Water Kettle Pot with Porcelain Handle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/21670586-whistling-tea-kettle-for-stove-top-enamel-on-steel-teakettle](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/21670586-whistling-tea-kettle-for-stove-top-enamel-on-steel-teakettle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
