I ordered these knowing they would be good, I mean, an old Egyptian fantasy epic adventure? With Djinn? Sign. Me. Up. Despite that, I didn’t think they’d be quite that gripping, but my word these were excellent, had me thinking about them for weeks. So action-packed, full of unexpected twists at every second! I adore Nahri, she’s got so much grit and determination, and she’s hilarious too. And of course, the star of the show ALIZAYD YOU POOR POOR SOUL 😭 (As a Muslim, I loved the accurate portrayal of him as one. Also, we DO NOT talk about the scene in Empire Of Gold where he’s sitting in the Masjid. And no one can see him. And he’s sobbing his heart out AAAARRRGFGGHHHHHFSHAHSSH 😭💔) He’s so flipping hilarious too, though BY NO MEANS are these books comedy (*sobs in a corner again*) I VERY highly recommend. No matter what genre you predominantly read, I guarantee these will suck you I’m from the first page.

The story is well written. Characters are well defined,realistic and its possible to relate to them. I have found it difficult to put these books down,finding that its gone midnight and I'm still reading. Certainly, in years too come I will return to this trilogy knowing I am going to enjoy re-reading them.

I bought these for my granddaughter to encourage her to read more. She's 16 and loves them.

What arrived was 3 softback-not the 2 softback and I hard back as shown in picture ,in the description and on my receipt which came with my order.On contact with Bookbundle they said they only had the softback in stock and offered me a small discount which I declined.I said that they were still advertising the set with the hard copy and showing last 5 in stock -they did not comment on this and instead asked me to return the item receipt in original packaging they were supplying a pre paid label for a full refund -I will be returning them But they are still advertising the set that they know they do not have stock off -which I have pointed out to them on 2 occasions-I consuder this to be misleading

Really, really enjoying the first book, the only problem i have is how small the writing is, even wearing my reading glasses i'm still strugging. Disappointing because the other two are the same.

THIS SERIES WAS AMAZING. Ive almost finished the last book but the plot the style of writing everything was amazing. Ive been looking for a series like this for a while and Im in love. Really dont regret buying this.
