Peugeot Naka Flax Seed Mill

This mill is simple to fill and use and works beautifully. It turns out perfectly even, coarsely ground sesame seeds.

I could barely turn the mechanism to grind flax seeds. Took a long time to grind one teaspoon.

Good that this product is on the market. Have been using mine for 14 months. Filling the chamber with seed would disorient the stem of the mechanism enough to cause spill over of unground seeds a) as I put the top on and b) when I used the mill for the first time or two after filling. Also, in daily use the top was not stable unless I made a concerted effort to hold it down against the body of the unit - again so that unground seeds did not fly out. Last night, filled the mill and as I pushed the top closed the grinding mechanism broke away from its housing, emptying all it contents on my counter. The housing of the inner mechanism is plastic. It was a clean break on two arms that hold the unit in place - and so will try repairing with Crazy Glue. Not confident in this product or its future in my kitchen.

You need patience to use this grinder if you plan to grind more than one serving at a time.

This is too hard to turn and the wood started to shred when I washed it. I'll be returning it.

Really difficult to use and can only do a small bit at a time. Pulp goes everywhere.

Plastic piece broke after 10 uses

You get quite a workout to produce one tablespoon of meal from this machine, roughly 25 or 30 difficult twists by my count. I suspect it's because of the plastic milling parts -- unlike my excellent Peugeot pepper mill with steel burrs. Disappointing, yes, hey but it works and maybe it'll be like adding a strength exercise to my day -- in a few weeks I'll have either trashed it or have built really strong wrists! And the top doesn't fit well, but once you realize then it's not so hard to keep it aligned.
