I’m a convert - wish I’d known sooner !!
This product is excellent value for the money. I’m new to using a straight edge razor and I have to say it is easy to pick up (5 minutes after watching a youtube video - don’t be scared! Ignore all the nay sayers about you slashing yourself). There are simple rules : Always keep the blade angled off your skin at around 30 degrees, always keep the blade perpendicular to the direction of travel and don’t force (think dragging vs forcing). If the edge perpendicular to the direction of travel you will slash (think about it!).From a product standpoint, it is a well made handle and the blades are plenty sharp! The handle takes a little bit to figure out from a blade replacement standpoint but there’s plenty of youtube videos to sort you out. The handle is comfortable, ergonomic and a good weight. I would like the handle to be a bit longer but that’s just me, not the product. I used regular shaving foam and the shave is really close, like baby skin close! So much better than the disposable stuff and you’re not filling in landfills with plastic! Our fore-bearers got this right!! And what’s not manly about being able to use a single blade to shave !! Don’t tell the ladies but these shavers/razors would probably be good for leg hairs too !!! 😉

Love what I bought
Good product, it will be better if you polish it smooth.

There is a little wiggle
The blades are amazing and the razor is nice. The razor has a nice weight to it, but the metal did come with two small nicks that weren't meant to be there. The metal of the razor is also a bit on the rough side, but not in any way that would cause injury to the user, just in a way that it feels a tiny bit uncomfortable if you prefer a different feel. The blade does have a minor wiggle room, but it is overall unnoticeable during use. I overall really like the usability and durability of the razor and its blades. It gave me a nice shave with no injury and I would definitely purchase again in the event that I lose the one that I already have. The Japanese blades are extremely sharp and give an overall smooth shaving feel that has yet to catch on any of my hairs when shaving.

Second Straight Edge First Favorite
First and foremost this straight razor is my second one I have ever owned and this one is way better than the first one. Upon holding and using it you can feel the quality. The box and presentation is great and the blades are truly razor sharp. It comes with 100 and even thought they're disposable they're sharp enough for me to use each one multiple times so I will most likely get over a years worth of line ups and shaves for $10. I have no complaints.Quick tip, At first I thought the blades were too loose and it wasn't holding them tight enough but if you just open the top piece that holds the two razor blade holders together and pinch it a bit tighter it'll have a firmer grip on the blades once you put it back down to hold them. After each use I simple take out the blade rinse everything off and shake the water off then a quick rub on the towel and reinsert the blade and no rust at all whatsoever and replace it in the box. I'm assuming anyone who has complained about rust leaves it soaking wet and places it back into the box.Again the blades are really thin and truly razor sharp so be careful. This thing will glide right through your hairs and into your skin and give your skull a "hello there" if you're not careful. Bit of a learning curve if you've never used a straight edge so don't rush and first learn the right angle to hold it and you'll be shaving and edging with ease in no time.

Nice Packaging, Poor Execution
This is the first time I write a review, but I had never been disappointed with something I bought—until now. While the packaging is impeccable and the experience starts off well, once you take out the razor—which has a nice weight and a handle that feels solid—the first thing I thought was, "Did I buy this used?" Some corners were dented, and it wasn’t clean or shiny like you’d expect stainless steel to look before its first use.The part where the blade goes has a kind of bridge that holds the blade between the two steel pieces, but without much effort, that piece just fell off. It's the part that’s supposed to hold everything together, and it's quite weak. Even the golden screw wasn’t properly in place.I understand it’s a relatively inexpensive product, but you have everything needed to make it a great one—those small details make all the difference.

Great shavette AND YOU CAN USE NORMAL BLADES
This is what I learned on. Though I'm sure it was obvious to many, I didn't realize that the smaller blades it takes are literally just half of normal double-sided razors. Just snap it in half lengthwise or cut it if you've got good scissors and boom, you don't need to get special blades. It's a great little razor though THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE. I cut myself a good few times the first month or so but now all is good. You can get real close too so I don't have to go over twice like I did with a safety razor. My only complaint is that the "blade" portion (the holder for the actual blade) is a bit off center now starting from the pin. But considering the price it's fine. Just be careful closing it and you'll be good

Trash- don’t buy
Cheapest thing Ive bought in amazon. Theres way better razors for same or cheaper. After inly 1 use its already rusting and u cant clean it off. The razors cant even be held properly. Its crooked one part of the razor is rased higher than the other one you’ll probably cut yourself. And the holder as you can see in the picture is the thinnest piece of “metal” that bends without even forcing it to.Don’t buy
