Ok but missing information
First off, yes it works, for the most part. When I opened the package it did not have directions to install in English and it neglected to say working through Chrome would become an obstacle, suggestions (in Spanish) said to just avoid chrome. Would have been great to know before I purchased it. - language: directions were in other languages aside from English. They had Spanish and Japanese. Only thing in English were the specs. Luckily my deciphered the Spanish one which later on realized I did not need it since my computer went through the set up and I was just hoping it was right. We shall see, so far it’s ok, except for Chrome. - Chrome. No where in the description did it say that going through Chrome would be a hassle. Except when I deciphered the Spanish it said not to use chrome 🤦🏽♀️ Read a post from a different reviewer who said they figured it out. Might try it. Aside from those things it work. Chrome may be an issue. Will try and figure it out otherwise I may have to return 🙄

Great affordable product
Perfect cac reader for my government job. No complaints at all and very easy to use.

Poor hardware and recognition
The functionality of the reader does work well but upon using it about four times, my ID couldn't be inserted due to some sort of obstruction. Whether it be a hardware issue or physical damage during shipping, I am not sure. This has posed complications though and you would expect this to not be an issue for the price and overall ratings. The overall quality of the reader itself is less than desirable, and I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere.
