Q: How do I get the Samsung 42h5200 dryer door sensor switch wires disconnected? They don't seem to just pull out.

The whole switch comes out, but you don't need to remove to replace the idler pulley

It should since your model takes a DC96-00882C and this is a sub for that idler.

Mine was the same model number except it was ‘ep’ rather than ‘gp’ And it fit perfectly. I think this is a pretty universal part. The pivot hole where it mounts to the dryer frame is slightly different but they included another shoulder screw to account for the difference. Working great so far.
