very good shape. Iโm upgrading to newer technology
My Motor home is 20 years old but it only as 36K miles on it and it in very, very good shape. Iโm upgrading to newer technology. When I first received this product I was a little disappointed I mean itโs plastic as far as I can tell, but ok letโs see what happens. I installed it and it was really easy to install BTW. Right now Iโm setting at Barefoot Bay & Marina just west of Pittsburg, TX and I couldnโt pick up any signal, I mean nothing O. Once I installed the new product I couldnโt believe the reception I got. 7 channels ok 3 were iffy. Definitely worth the money and as always the shipping was excellent. I have brought the new Winegard RFL-342 SensarPro White TV Signal Strength Meter but not hooked up Iโll let you know how that turns out. A 20 year difference in Tech can make a big difference in everything. Bottom line great product and I received the product b4 deliver date.

Great replacement antennae
I used this to replace a non-Hd antennae. I had previously replaced an older non-flat screen television with a HD flatscreen and already enjoyed the picture, but this antennae really allows the video to โpopโ. Later, I managed to damage the crank mechanism to raise the antenna. However, I still found that that it has superior reception than the previous antenna deployed, which I did not expect. I also found that it had good reception while driving out of the campsite and on the highway (my wife could continue to watch television while I was driving). I donโt actually know if there was any pixilation from poor reception while I was driving, but it did manage to stay on the channel she was watching for at least 15 miles.

suitable replacement head for GS-2200 (old-style) too!
[Update II: 2-year Winegard Warranty for the Win: I forgot about that, two (2) years! They didn't give me any hassle, just shipped a new one Revised to 4 stars.][Update 3/2024: Died after 1 year 9 months. Revised to 3 stars not 5. Symptom of death: UHF still tunes, but High-VHF stations get no signal! Previous model lasted 4 years; this one at less than 2 years is lame. I bought again, because there is no good (compact, fringe, amplified) substitute. Original review details the previous replacement.] Summary: I replaced my old-style GS-2200 head a few months ago with this RVW-205 and it works. Details: My original GS-2200 ("old style" meaning with the PS-1503 power supply, not their newer 5-volt USB supply version) plastic integral mounting bracket broke in the sunlight and wind. That GS-2200 came with an 18VDC power brick and a 15VDC bypass capacitor&inductor. But being for an RV top, this RVW-205's instructions only talk about 12-volt power from the battery, and their wallplate-style DC/signal power/bypass connector. So I asked Winegard, who said that you CAN install the RVW-205 attached to the existing RPS-1503 without burning it out. I did, and it's worked fine for a couple months now.

Winegard Sensar IV RV Antenna Replacement Head
Replaced an older Winegard rooftop antenna with this newer upgraded amplified model they call the Sensar IV Wingman, and was pretty happy with the results. Got all the channels the older antenna received and several more with this new antenna. It's a super easy no-brainer to install - takes maybe fifteen minutes once you're up on the roof. If your vertical supports that support this antenna aren't damaged, you can probably reuse them since they're aluminum and should last almost indefinitely, so you may not need the complete antenna package. Save a buck and order just the replacement head if you can. Note: On most models of RV's, power is supplied ( for amplification ) to this antenna through the coaxial cable and DOES NOT require a separate power supply. This is controlled by a small switch behind your TV which should have a little indicator light and a 12 volt outlet which turns on/off power to the antenna. See You Tube "All about your RV's antenna connection" for a good explanation of how this works. Very good antenna - Highly recommended !!

Perfect fit and replacement for older Winegard (2012) antenna. Improved Reception
We have a digital boosted Winegard antenna but it's a 2012 vintage. It worked but we often had the digitizing pixeled reception. We changed nothing except this replacement wing and it made a big difference for us. We have an ap on our phone that helps determine the best position for aiming the antenna. We are very happy with the improved reception (more channels) and no more pixelized inconsistent picture and audio.

Not an upgrade over older model from my experience
I purchased this unit with the hope it was an upgrade over the original on my 5th wheel (2004 model). I was hoping that with the addition of the wing on the antennae, I might get a few extra miles of range. This was not evident when after I installed the new unit. Reception and picture quality was still the same as the original. I might add that my 5th wheel is stationary and I am located within 75 miles of several TV stations, but am only able to pull in one that is about 60 miles away. Winegard is a quality product, but cannot do more than what it is designed to accomplish. I had tried two cheaper antennas that would not even match the reception that I had with my older Winegard.

Noticable improvement in performance
My old OEM batwing pixelated even with a strong signal. This one gives a stable picture even on one bar signal strength.

works
works as good as the original one I took off, I like that it is black as it now matches the RV better. My old one stopped working, I dont know why, not much to them. Range is not great, I am thinking of getting a better one. It is perfect as a factory replacement.
