I have had cats for over 30 yrs. Always at least 4 in the house all the time. That to this Lysine medication like powder I have had a cat live to 27yrs 6months 3 days before he passed away. I started using this product thru the vet first 22 yrs ago but was $65 for a lot less product. So I switched to Alpha Paw which is the same medicine only in a powder form more product for less money through amazon. All my cats have been strictly indoor cats and only got the first 2 sets of shots and very rarely go back to the vet. I currently have 5 cats. One that is currently 22 and her mom died from feline herpes when she was 4 weeks old. She lost one eye due to her mom at 12wks but she is still going strong. We recently lost one that was 23 that I rescued like all my cats. They all get the Aloha Paw powder 2 times a day mixed into a 1teaspoon of wet food. The 3 male cats in the picture are also newer recused the 2 big ones are now 5 yrs old and came from a local horder house with 54 other cats and the smallest brown tabby was rescued at 8 weeks old Is now 3 yrs old and again from a horder type house small amount of cats. They have all been very healthy over the yrs and rarely needed to go to the vet for sickness. I believe that this product helps to keep them healthy and will continue to use it as long as I have cats in my house. I have suggested this to friends that now use it and there cats are now more active then they used to be. Hope this helps your pets as well as I believe it could be used for dogs too.

I mix the Alpha Paw Lysine in their wet food and they don't seem to notice. Yay. They have been taking it since February and I saw a reduction in their respiratory symptoms and watery eyes almost immediately..

I have 2 FIV + cats, which means basically that they have no immune system. They both get lysine daily and they hardly get sick. This really gives their immune system the boost they need to stay healthy. Great value for the cost!

After moving long distance twice in 6 months, my kitty was having problems with sneezing, runny eyes and a runny nose. She was miserable. She was having what, in human terms, were allergy symptoms. I couldn't get in to see my vet unless I wanted to sit and wait for 4-5 hours which I couldn't because of work. I take L-Lysine for my immune system and saw that this product listed that it helped all the symptoms my poor kitty was having. She was eating alright, but she was listless and just wanted to be held all the time. I knew these moves had really stressed her out. So, I bought this hoping it would help. It is absolutely tasteless, as her clean plate will attest. It mixes easily with her food. Well, after 2 days (or 4 meals) she was back to her old self. She was playing and running around. The sneezing had stopped and the allergy symptoms just melted away. I also purchased an eye wash product from Amazon and the combination has taken away all her symptoms and she is back to her old self. I will continue to give this product to my fur baby as a health maintenance measure.

Honestly did not think that my fussy picky cat would not be able to taste/smell this... well he can't... and a daily struggle to get him to drink it or I would have to use a syringe is OVER! Would give this product 10 stars as long as he remains healthy!

I always used this lysine for my finicky cat Ruby. It was fragrance and taste free and easy to mix into her food without detection. However, they changed the formula and it is no longer a fine powder that mixes easily. It is now in Crystal form. (I'm assuming they changed it to help with the powder clumping which was really no big deal as the clumps broke up super easy with a few stirs in the container before use.) This new formula is gritty, definitely does not mix in/dissolve as easily and has a definite smell. Wish they hadn't changed it or may be give the choice of powder or Crystal formula. Cats are so particular and pick up on even the slightest changes and my finicky cat turns her nose up now. It's a lot of work getting her to take it. I have to dissolve in water first. It doesn't dissolve easy! Then smash it into her food and she still knows! It was so much easier to use and completely undetectable when it was in powder form.

I bought this product to help increase the immunity naturally for my cats. I just sprinkle it on their food and they seem to like it just fine. I feel like I’m helping them to be healthy naturally without spending too much money. I bought this particular brand because it was a high grade, but twice the amount of product for the same price as one I was previously using. I plan to continue purchasing this product. It is a white powder with a little measuring scoop to help decide how much to use.
