Golden Flake Pork Cracklins W/Red Pepper Seasoning 3.25 oz (Pack 8)

Ok people. THESE THINGS ARE DELICIOUS BUT HARD AS ROCKS. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HARD. THEY ARE NOT STALE. I have enjoyed these things since I was kid LONG ago WITH GOOD TEETH. I'm an old school southerner, so I'm familiar with the "cracklin" and have chipped a tooth over these goodies in the past. BUT, they're too good to give up! I'm honestly addicted to these things. I went to every little store in my town of 5000 people hunting for the elusive "Golden Flake" Cracklin, but none stocked my beloved snack.... SO. I got the bright idea to try online..... SUCCESS! I found a supplier on Amazon and ordered FOUR CASES of them! YEP! 48 BAGS! Now it may seem like I'm destined to become a hillbilly looking snaggle puss with broken teeth, BUT.. Where there's a will, there's a way and you can keep your teeth. As a kid, I found out that if I dumped some Louisiana Hot Sauce over them bad boys and folded the bag shut for a spell, those rock hard cracklins become as chewy as rubber! Now It dont have to be hot sauce. It can be water, wine or whatever liquid that you find tasty. In a hurry when I'm hungry for my snack, I just pop a handful into my mouth and hold them in my cheek for a few minuets until they soften enough to chew. Me myself being a southerner, I prefer the hot sauce treatment. The "Golden Flake" cracklins are just as delicious softened, as they are hard. I wish I had the ones that the unsatisfied customers threw away! If yall dont want them send all unopened bags to me! HAHA! MMMMmmm! GOOD! UPDATE 6-28-2024 Just bought another 48 bags and yep, I still got all my teeth! About the hair... these are real pork cracklins. They were taken from a REAL hog, and hogs are hairy. The hair is supposed to be singed off by flame at the time of butchering. Sometimes they miss parts of the hide during processing. To be honest I dont eat the ones with the hair either. The hair is brittle and you dont want sharp brittle hairs in your gut. I just give those to the dog. She cant get enough of them!

My favorite snack! Not only it is tasty, but it has a hint (just a hint) of spicy red pepper. Enough to give it an additional zing. Perfect for keto diet. It is on now on my subscribe and save list. Highly recommend.

I'm addicted to the crunch. Just note texture is very hard.

My Brother bought this brand & size of cracklings from convenience store & REALLY ENJOYS A LOT! He bought me some & I liked them also! HOWEVER, The product that was sent to Me was AWEFUL! Cracklings were SO HARD THAT We could not EVEN EAT! I soaked them to flush hot spice & fed to the birds! I was so disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy nor surprise MY BROTHER WITH A FEW BAGS.

Absolutely so wonderful they are addicting I wish I could buy them in the stores in my town can't find them anywhere but Amazon. I just wish they would arrive sooner than waiting for two plus weeks to get them

Taste good but hard to eat. Not worth buying can cause your tooth to break!

Ignore the 1 star reviews stating these are too hard, stale, etc. The people eating these 1 star for that reason clearly have never had these. These are supposed to be crunchy and hard. They are pork cracklings. I love these. I recently moved from the south to the mid west and can’t find this brand anywhere…and that any place has is the pork rinds( the non crunchy ones) and I hate those. These are just as good as some bought from Publix or a gas station.

I'm not able to get Golden flake brand unless I'm in the south ( I load up when I'm there). I feel sorry for the northeast and west coast people, you haven't had a pork rind until you have Golden flake!! Try any flavors, they are all GOOD!!
