Works really well as an in-bed or on-the-sofa phone stand.
I am very pleased with this pillow stand. First of all, it provides substantial grooves in which to place your phone. I have a Galaxy Note and it is large. The pillow holds it upright easily. Secondly the pillow base is velvety soft, yet sturdy. It rests nicely on my stomach, lap or other surface. One point... this pillow does not strap your phone in place. Your phone rests in the groove. Because of the broadness of the base it does not tip over.

Great for someone with neuropathy
I have neuropathy on my hands so this is great to prop my kindle or book up to decrease neuropathy in my hands. The weights have come out of the slots that make it rattle at times but has worked well for my needs

PERFECT
I absolutely love mine. Love the color and how soft the fabric is to touch. Can use in so many different positions too. Highly recommend. So happy I found this phone pillow.

10" tablet topples it.
I got this for my 10 inch tablet. Horizontally it works okay but I still have to brace it on my bed. When I use it to read and the tablet is vertical it topples over. I got this stand because I've got carpal tunnel from holding my phone and tablet. The whole reason was to reduce having to use my hands to hold my tablet. Granted now I don't have to hold my tablet...I still have to hold the stand. And because it has a suede-like cover I can't use it in the kitchen for keeping a recipe open. It's more a bedroom/living room kind of stand. I wouldn't call it "hands free"...more like "hands in a different place". If the manufacturer made the back piece of the stand another 4 inches higher this stand would be much more stable. The slots on the base for keeping the tablet on the stand are flimsy and not tall enough to keep the tablet from sliding forward. I'm sure this stand will work fine for some people and some tablets. I'm just not that person and my Dragonfire 10 inch tablet isn't that tablet.

After one hour I wanted to fling it across the room.
Everyone says I have the patients of a saint. I raised 3 of my own boys and 2 of my husbands sons…together. They are all alive and well and I am not locked up so you know it’s true. But this thing after one hour did me in. First what’s with the shape. Multi-angled? For who an Alien? Soft lap stand? Really? My lap is of normal width, length and what ever other dimensions I would consider in consideration to my friends. So why did my iPad, Book, Magazine, and Smart Phone flop, fall, tilt, tip, dip and so everything under the sun but stay put not to mention the pillow itself. Sorry but this is getting a big fat thumbs down from me except for two things. It’s sturdy. So sturdy that it’s hard. The outside padding is soft but underneath you can feel the hard plastic. The other thing that has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the item is the color. If you like green as I do, this is one awesome color of green. So sunny and happy. Other than that I was almost wearing the bracelets and getting in back of the fast car with the lights on top.

Had great hopes but……
I have the largest iPad Pro they make and it’s been a nightmare trying to find something that will work as a pillow. I had high hopes for this pillow but it’s a no go. I really like the way it’s laid out but the very flexible rubber pieces that are supposed to hold up the iPad just bend over because of the weight. It works great with my mini but not my pro so the search continues.

Much better than expected
The fabric is like a very soft padded velour on top, and some sort of stretchy fabric on the bottom. It has a zipper so you can wash the cover. The form inside is a solid piece of plastic, I think around 1mm thick, with a smooth 2 or 3mm rim. It is not adjustable or bendable in any way. There are silver discs on the form as well to give it some weight so your tablet won't tip it over. For me, I'll add more weight for my weighty 2-in-1 tablet laptop. The props/stops for tablet are stitched on to the cover, and are grippy silicone/rubber which I wasn't expecting. All in all, it's surprisingly well made.

Makes lounging easy
I am someone who likes to read or watch a video on my phone and knit at the same time. Propping up my knees to hold my phone doesn't work well. This extra large, well made item works. It makes curling up on the couch a real pleasure, rather than a hassle. My cat even will lay beside it and snuggle. So glad I got it. Wish I had found it instead of the metal phone props that always tilt over.
