best product on market, for protecting natural teak
sand smooth (180-220 grit), and apply twice a year. This is the best product on the market. No blue tape, and I apply with a foam brush. Does not compensate for poor caulking, wethered decks. First get the teak decks in shape, emsure caulking is fine, then apply. coverage is great, and repels bird droppings, water, wine, oil, etc. Allows teak to grey naturally and also allows teak to give great traction/footing properties.

Teak furniture protectant works.
It works!!. I used it on a teak dining table and chairs. Easy to apply, absorbs into the teak. Dries fast and results are visible. I used it ouside on the patio so there was adequate ventillation. I didn't notice any chemical odors. I will reapply in 6 months, if needed.

Didn't protect
I spent weeks sanding down all my teak patio furniture last summer and then sealed all of it with this product (multiple coats). It only minorly changed the color which was great however a month or so later some rain got on my teak dining table and there were irregular water marks all over the table - it didn't protect at all! Not being able to get any of this furniture wet without staining is the real problem. Wasted a lot of time and money and have to do it all over again. Very disappointed.

The best product I have ever used on teak
It s the best teak product that I have ever used. I put it on freshly sanded teak (2 coats) and after two months the teak still looks freshly sanded. It is not cheap, but worth every penny. I use it on my teak decks which are in the sun all day in a tropical environment.

Great product
This stuff is really easy to apply and leaves the original natural appearance of the teak without darkening it. Goes on clear. Stays clear with no shine. Liquids bead off finished teak. Photo is two coats .

Meh
All I have to say is meh. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but definitely didn’t blow my socks off. The only upside to this product is if you are looking for a completely unfinished looked but still need it protected. How well does this protect over teaks natural oils? Idk… I’m skeptical, it really doesn’t seem like it did a whole lot.

Ditec Triton is the only teak sealer that I now use!
I have been refinishing and maintaining yachts for almost 40 years and in that time I’ve used most of the products on the market. After several applications I can finally say that Ditec Triton is the best product that I have used for the maintanence of teak decks and raw caprails. Their system of teak cleaner and sealer leaves the decks looking totally natural and water actually beads on top of it. It’s easy to apply and maintain, and the number of questions and compliments that I get on a daily basis is astounding. I can fully endorse Ditec Teak Cleaner and Triton Sealer.
