easy to walk in and helped the healing process
Item is as described, arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. The straps are adjustable and the cushioning on the boot and straps is comfortable. It kept my foot in a steady position and allowed my toes to heal quickly.

Better than the doctor’s office version
I found out last week that I have a stress fracture in my left foot, and the doctor gave me a different version of this kind of shoe/brace. I ordered this one because I wanted a clean one for inside the house and one for when I go out. I actually like this one much better than the one the doctor’s office gave me because it has a slight rocker bottom as opposed to the other one, which has a completely flat bottom. This Amazon one is also a bit shorter which is perfect because it extends about 1/2 inch past my toes as opposed to about an inch on the other one, which makes walking even more awkward. The Amazon one is also a lot lighter. Much better and more comfortable to wear all around while still keeping my toes stable and as still as possible. The velcro also seems very strong and durable, but hopefully I won’t have to wear this for very long. For reference, I wear a women’s size 7.5 shoe and ordered this in a women’s medium which is perfect.

My foot is happy
This is a good shoe at the right price for a healing foot. Size is weird so I ordered small (I am a wide footed women's size 7). I probably could have ordered the next size up but I’m happy that I got the small so it is less noticeable with my black sandals (it is summer). My toes are about a half inch from the edge. If you had toe surgery definitely get the medium! It’s comfortable enough (I shouldn’t be walking much anyway). It keeps my foot safe. It is affordable. You can cut the Velcro if it is too long and the straps are adjustable. I had to cut them down a bit. Don’t lose the middle Velcro fasteners!!

Excellent Product - Sizing Tricky for Women with Larger Feet
This is sturdy and VERY easy to get foot in and out of. The hard plastic surround is very well made, the inner foam is dense enough to support but soft enough to "give". I would 100% recommend this product. Only issue I had was sizing. I wear a woman's size 10.5 in normal shoes. The Women's Large (8.5-10.5) for this shoe/boot had my toe at the very edge of the shoe/boot. There was not enough room to make my injured foot to feel like it was protected enough. So I ordered a Men's Large (9.5-11) and it works very well. Have worn it for a few months now and it is not broken down. Impressive.

Pros and cons vs a boot
**EDIT** after wearing for a few days I can say the shoe is not as good as the boot. It does not provide the stability of the boot, the velcro piece falls off and the the straps overhang the shoe making it a fall hazard. I’ve worn them for 5 min after wearing a boot for 10 days. Here are my thoughts. Pros. -Much less bulky, feel *almost* like my foot is in normal shoes. A sense of freedom for my foot if you will. - quicker to get out of - less noticeable -somewhat comparable support. I’d give the boot a little leg up (ha unintended pun there) but not too much Cons -not sure about the quality. They don’t seem like they are going to last very long. They came looking a little eh and after 5 min are looking even more ehhhhh - the reverse side of the Velcro is not attached. Yeah. So if you lose that the shoe is worthless. Why they didn’t sew it on is beyond me. It’s like this on each of the straps. - under the straps, the flap that actually does the supporting of your foot, doesn’t have velcro on it at all. This means you have to hold it closed to the desired tightness with one hand while trying to velcro the straps to their desired tightness with your other hand. If you’re coordinated that’s fine. If you are like me and have 2 dogs in your face, trip over air, get lost in a circle and were always picked last for kickball this is an issue. Pics included. Good luck and feel better soon

Perfect fit--has been a lifesaver.
I broke my big toe almost 4 weeks ago, and although I've broken toes before, it was never my big toe. VERY painful! I "buddy taped" it to the next toe, but I was still suffering from severe pain while wearing any type of regular shoe, mostly due to unconsciously raising the tip of my toe and having it press up against the inside of the shoe box. After 10 days of that, I found this shoe on Amazon. I looked at several other ones that were less expensive, but after reading a lot of the reviews on this shoe I felt that this one would meet my needs the best. I wear a woman's 6.5M, but I ordered a medium instead of a small because numerous reviews stated the shoe was too short in length despite ordering the size that corresponded to their regular shoe size (The width of the shoe is completely adjustable due to the Velcro straps.) When I put the shoe on it was obviously too large, as the tip of my big toe was a good inch from the top, and the first strap actually crossed over my toe, causing more pain instead of less. So I then ordered a small, and it fits perfectly! The tip of my big toe is about 1/4" away from the end of the shoe even while wearing a heavy sock, and the strap crosses where it should. Some reviewers complained that the straps were too long, or that the shoe didn't feel secure. The straps are made long intentionally to accommodate a foot that may be very swollen and/or wrapped in thick bandages. I haven't needed to, but I'm sure, like all other Velcro, the ends of the straps can be trimmed to the desired length. When I put the shoe on, I'm careful to make sure the pieces on top of my foot (under the straps) are overlapped properly and laying flat. Then I carefully fasten the Velcro straps so they are snug but not tight. The shoe feels comfortable and sturdy. I have no problem walking in it at all; in fact, I often forget that I have it on. I only wish I had found this shoe the day I broke my toe instead of 10 days later!
