I GREW UP USING THIS OLIVE OIL, MY PARENTS USED IT AND I HAVE USED IT NOW FOR THE PAST, ALMOST 50 YEARS. THIS OLIVE OIL HAS GREAT FLAVOR FOR COOKING BUT NOT FRYING OR BAKING. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS OLIVE OIL IS GREAT EXCEPT THE PRICE, I FEEL IT IS OVERPRICED BUT I GUESS EVERYTHING NOW A DAYS IS OVERPRICED, BUT THE OLIVE OIL IS EXCELLENT.

Inflation hit this hard... I have used this brand since childhood.
I bought this at a great price of $25 only 18 months ago and now the cost is $51. Sticker shock. I love the brand. I use the extra virgin to season after cooking but this has a lower heat point so I prefer this lighter version for sautéing. This price point is a lot to swallow. I hope someone can offer a better price

Passed The Purity Test!
We’ve learned that most store bought olive oils are not really pure olive oils ,but actually mixed with some seed oils.The way to find out is if you refrigerate the olive oil in a clean glass jar with a lid for 24 hours in the refrigerator,the olive oil should solidify if it’s 100% pure olive oil.If it remains liquidity,it’s been mixed with other oils.The video we viewed showed that the Fillipo Bertie brand was one that passed the refrigerator test.That’s the reason we bought it on Amazon.It’s not easy to find in the local supermarkets.
