XL with this vest means waist area is VERY XL. My waist is 34-36 and extra large was for more a 46+ waist, otherwise, it fit me fine. So I next ordered the Large and it was fine in the waist, BUT too short. I am 6' 1" and the XL was too short for me. So I now ordered the XL LONG. I am thinking that is going to be perfect for me. It takes longer than most Amazon items to get to me, for whatever reason(s). I think it is going to be worth the wait though. The vests I sent back looked very good except for the fits. However, I think I got it right this time though. I am 6' 1" and 192 lbs. A Large-Long is going to be perfect, I expect. So I will be happy.

For a few years, I have been wearing a similar suede vest -- that one had a poly back panel, with suede just on the front half.The problem I encountered with that vest, as another reviewer here has mentioned, is the buttons kept falling off. Jeez, I might be a few pounds overweight, but I don't have this button problem with my knit sweaters!So when I saw this very reasonably priced all-suede vest with SNAP BUTTONS, I figured the latter should solve my button problem once and for all.The large-size vest fits me perfectly (I'm a 42 short), and it looks great. There are two outside front pockets and one inside pocket on the left side as you're wearing it.The leather is a little lighter in weight than my previous vest, but that's okay -- it's supple and brings some warmth without bulk.I have deducted one star, however, for the intense leather smell. I've been wearing the vest for several weeks now, and the pungent odor persists. A friend of mine even commented on it -- "What's that smell?"Currently, I am hoping another customer can give me some advice on how to mitigate the odor. If I find the answer, I will add it to my review...

OK, this is an affordable but great looking suede vest. It is actually darker than the image online which is a good thing not bad. Needs a good shirt, I used a Tommy Bahamas Flannel, in a blue or aqua color and good jeans to allow it to pop! Many compliments when I wear it. Comfortable and good looking. Fits as it should ... so order your normal size. The ladies love it gents.

The info say to order X large and that was a mistake. The leather is beautiful and very soft. I returned mine. The snaps doesn’t work well for my pocket watches. For me button hole works better.

great vest in general, 5 star. compared to other vests, this brand runs a bit small so I am going to have to order the next size up, -2 star. the vest points at the bottom are slightly mismatched, meaning 1 point is slightly lower than other, -1 star. 5 - 1 - 1 = 3 star.If you order one, you probably need to order a size bigger than usual.update 2021May21: received next size up, still a little tighter than other vests I have gotten, but can probably make it work. I wear a 2x equivalent in dress shirts, and 3x in polo casual or other brands of vests. 3x in this brand was just too small and no mention anywhere that the brand runs small so returned it and got 4x. the 4x is still slightly tighter than other brands have for a 3x, so I would recommend getting 2 sizes up maybe. I have not yet decided if it is worth waiting around for another vest to arrive.other than the extremely incorrect sizing, the vest is 5 star. so if you get 2 sizes up bigger than you think you should get, then you will probably end up with a 5 star vest for your needs.

I wasn't sure what to expect but hoped it was as good as some reviews said it was and I wasn't disappointed. As far as size, I'm a slender 150ish and about 5' 9". I'm usually a 42 jacket as I'm a little bigger in the chest/back than I am in the waist for my size and the medium is perfect! It's very comfortable, so much that it's hard to tell I'm wearing it. It's very smooth fitting and moves with you. The cut is perfect, high enough in the back that it looks good but at the same time I can reach high and still keep covered to the belt. For some who look to vests for specific purposes, that should be an indication, it's very concealing.I'm very pleased, especially for the price. I'd rather have something made in the US, but the quality of materials and craftsmanship is on par and more affordable. It's lined, which helps make it move so easily with you as well. The 2 outer pockets are actually very functional, not just for looks, The inner pocket is also very functional, big enough to carry a phone safely (Samsung S5 size, with room for more) The snaps are also very good! They snap and unsnap smoothly but are very secure. I have black in color.Overall, I'm not sure there's anything more I could ask for, except for it to be handmade and custom fit and well, that's not reasonable for anything near this price.

What a surprise it was to open my package the leather was smooth and fits well it looks great on me it was a very good but for a light vest.
