Well-made cold shoe mount
I have one of these and one of the SmallRig versions on my shoulder rig. The SmallRig is great if you want one with a hard stop at the end. This one is open on both ends, which makes it nice and flexible (but possibly slightly less secure). It has a rubber pad on the bottom, which is a nice touch. Cold shoe mounts like this – that attach from the top – are a bit harder to find, but I find them the most useful. The mount itself is sturdy and well-machined.While I like the product a lot, the packaging was just a bit sketchy. The hex key, bolt, and cold shoe were in loose plastic bags (no big deal) and really greasy/dirty when they arrived (slightly bigger deal). The mount itself is still a five-star for me, though.

Wish it had a back on it
I'm using this to mount an Atomos Ninja 2 monitor/recorder to the bottom of a Canon 5d Mark III using the tripod mount screw hold. I mount the tripod to a canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses tripod mount, then the ninja to the bottom of the camera with this cold shoe and it allows for us to have the monitor at the camera operators eye level while the camera itself is several inches higher. Works great, the only complaint i have is it would be safer if the cold shoe had a back on it that helped ensure that the device being mounted on it was squarely in the center of the mount. other than that, its great!

An Essential Little Accessory for the BMPCC
I can't begin to stress how important this little shoe mount is for my camera set up. I recently purchased a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera, and this little accessory helps me mount several of my accessories to the camera. There really is no need for me to buy an expensive cage to rig up my camera with the current equipment I already have. I would highly recommend getting one if you own or are thinking about getting a BMPCC, or any other camera Black Magic sells. It's worth noting that the build quality for this product is very good and sturdy. I have NOT had any problems with my accessories falling off. I've already used the ALZO Cold Shoe Mount with my BMPCC on a professional shoot. I didn't have to worry about it once.

Does NOT fit the newest Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4k
This simply does not fit (see photo.) It screws down a turn and a half and then stops; feels like I will ruin the mounting hole threads if I crank it down any more. There may be a different version for this camera, but it is not this one. I gave it five stars for features because it is indeed made very well. Three stars as the description needs to be updated to say it doesn't fit this camera.

Great little piece
Great little piece. Some have called it "Clunky, but I have one from another maker too, and I don't think this type of mount could be made any smaller without being breakable. The rubber pad on the bottom makes ALL the difference because it not only prevents scuffing of your other rigging, but more importantly - it prevents rotation. It sort of acts like a lock-washer. It's because of that rubber bottom that I ordered more of these instead of the other brand.

Incompatible with Shure Mike Shoe
Just because you can stick it on the BM doesn't mean it's compatible with the peripherals you bought it for. :(

Amazing
Such a cheap tool but so worth it. It doesn’t feel cheap really sturdy and works so well.

Heavy duty, easy to mount, very sturdy!
I picked up two of these for my Blackmagic Cinema Camera cage and they're really sturdy, heavy-duty metal that come with a good, strong mounting screw and a hex wrench. Be aware that the hex wrench is covered in some sort of anti-rust lube and will smear black all over your hands if you don't wipe it off first! Also, since there is no stop on the front of the shoe (and doesn't need to be) if you don't pay attention to mounting your hardware in it you could slide right on through and drop it. I was fortunate enough to prevent my rigger from this accident as he mounted a EVF on it for a test!
