Very Satisfied - It actually performed just as advertised
I’m VERY happy I chose this product after spending so much time reading reviews. In my case, it did what it claimed to do and it was just what I needed. They seem to be a small company trying to do the right thing. The kit arrived two days after I ordered it, I used it immediately and put the samples in the mail the same day, and nine days later I received the results via email which included a short summary list of about 16 types of molds so I could find basic info for the ones found in my samples. I live in Florida only about 400 miles from the company’s South Carolina address so that might have helped the quick turnaround time, I can’t say. Also, the day after I received the email with results, I received a phone call from someone from the company following up to see if I had questions, but it went to my voicemail and since I was satisfied I did not follow up any further. After moving to a new location my wife and I had found ourselves suffering respiratory ailments which we attributed to allergies. After this went on for several months I began to wonder if this was due to a mold issue in the house because I’d seen what I thought was mold in one small enclosed area near some pipes. After reading other reviews I decided to order this kit and used the three sticky-strips in three different areas. I pressed the first sticky-strip on the visible mold in the enclosed area and extracted a sample. I then used the second sticky-strip to test the outdoor environment by picking up a sample of a thin dust layer outside the house on the porch light. Lastly, I wiped the third sticky-strip along an A/C vent where I noticed there was a thin layer of dust or something. The results came back via email showing that there was a high level of one kind of mold on the first sticky-strip from the enclosed area, no surprise there. The results from the second sticky-strip showed there were very low levels of 3-4 types of molds and pollen from the outdoor area. Then the third sample from the vent, which I considered to represent the air we were breathing, had only scattered examples of the same 3-4 types seen outdoors and nothing detected matching the mold from the enclosed area near the pipes. Right or wrong, all of this made sense to me and I interpreted this to mean that we were likely suffering from ambient mold and pollen, and not a dangerous mold issue that needed immediate attention. Maybe I need to try better air filters in the A/C unit? Coincidentally or not, with the hot weather and rains of the past week or so, our symptoms have improved considerably. The order confirmation and the results both included a request to post a review. In this case I was sufficiently impressed to actually do that, especially since it appears that there are so many under-performing kits out there. In my particular case, the price was fair and the test told me what I wanted to know. My only minor complaint? Yup, you know if you’ve read the reviews, they could have included a return envelope but it was no big deal, I stuck the samples in a small mailing bag with five stamps and it apparently got there just fine.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THESE REVIEWS SEEM TO GOOD TO BE TRUE AND I WAS RIGHTBought the test kit because of all the positive reviews and most received quick results. What I found has been a 180 from these reviews and leads me to believe these reviews are either written by the company or bought.First off when I received the kit all it contained 3 plastic strips with a sticky end on each and a form. I used one of the sticky strips on drywall and it pulled the paper off the drywall so that test was probably worthless. After completing all 3 test spots I put them in their plastic carriers and mailed off. There was no pre-addressed envelope or postage paid like other kits I researched so right away I was frustrated. Then it took 8 days to receive results not the 3-4 days as most mentioned. When I received the results it came with a terms and conditions page that says I must agree to the statements on the page. Shouldn’t I have seen this before I bought the kit? After reading the terms & conditions it says this test is limited in scope and cannot detect hidden mold. I guess this is my fault for not understanding this test. This tests for only mold you can see. So if you can see mold you know you have mold so why test. I want to test, as probably most of you, for mold you can’t see and this test is totally worthless. The terms & conditions also say Mold Inspection Network cannot be held liable and then says by purchasing and using this kit you submit to agreement with this statement. Again, if I am agreeing to something shouldn’t I have known about it before I pay for and use the product? Seems mighty suspicious to me and I’m sure this arose from problems the company had with consumers like me that feel they have been cheated and I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE STATEMENTS ON THE TERMS & CONDITIONS.The results I received from Mold Inspection Network said I had “scattered” PEN/ASP and low levels of Stachybotrys in one area and “scattered” in another. These results were conflicting to me and made it seem I did not have much of a problem. I could smell the mold and I was sneezing and had headaches so I decided to have a professional run tests on the same areas and they found high levels of ASP/PEN and no traces of Stachy (Black Mold). That just tells me to not waste your time on this product as it will not be what you are looking for. Go to a professional or buy a more accurate mold test kit that test for hidden mold that can be found in dust as the professional did. So don’t be duped, learn from me.
