Great human quality food
I have a picky goldendoodle who i spent weeks trying to get to eat his food, but he was always uninterested and refused to eat unless starving. I bought these hoping it would solve my problem…. And it did! My boy eats every last bit of these delicious stews! I would highly recommend, super easy to open and empty, and honestly they don’t smell too bad haha, definitely worth trying if your dog is picky.

The case that we bought was not edible by our dogs. I looked for a way to contact the company but I could not find one. There is too much spinach in his formula the food is very green. My dogs refused to eat it I opened as many as four boxes and they were so green I wouldn’t want to eat them! OK so it’s human grade food do you know that spinach is the most pesticide contaminated of all of the dirty dozen? If you’re going to use human grade food at least know what you’re doing spinach should always be organic. And when you’re making dog food it should NOT be green. Meat should be the first ingredient. I am so disgusted right now and I use other Honest kitchen products. We had to donate a box of the lamb pour over because no one here wanted to eat it. We even tried a neighbors dog on it and they wouldn’t eat it either. We ended up donating that one to the rescue people. So now we are down to two different types that they will eat and don’t seem too bad. But we may take them off of this brand entirely. We have several boxes of the hydrated dog food that they would not eat and one that we gave away. It doesn’t matter how good a dog food claims to be if dogs won’t eat it! This is too expensive. They need to have trial sizes.

Dogs liked them
The packages are super small. Pricey for how much you get.

Too 'Soupy'
Probably would make a good "Topper", but its slurry-like consistency made my dog turn up her nose.By the way, she loves HonestKitchen's dry kibble product. But not this 'boxed' variety.

Rejected by my Picky Eater
I had high hopes for this food. My dog is a senior now and I have spent years and a small fortune trying to find something she will love. This just gets added to the long list of failures. I liked the food quality and carton box. My dog is small so half a carton is plenty for her and the cat. It's impossible to keep him out of her food. He samples everything. I didn't like the watery content with the first pour. It's best if you stir it up before pouring out of box if you are using less than the whole box.

Defective boxes
I opened up the first two boxes and they were very hard. The rice was just one big ball of solid Mass. Then there was some looser stuff around the edges and almost no moisture. The second box was the same. The third box though was creamy and my dog just loved it. I think there was just some manufacturing issues and would hope that they would replace it I will get back to you to see if they will. Otherwise I've been very happy with this particular brand.
