Sureseal Sureseal-2 Inline Floor Drain , Black

This same product from Sureseal was $75 at the local supply store. I love supporting local businesses when I can, but this was $25 from Amazon. Same item. Once installed, it does what it's supposed to do - prevent the floor drain from backing up into our laundry room.Obviously it's not a substitute for the real problem (Unclogging our sewer line) but in the meantime, and in case we ever get a sewer line clog again, at least it doesn't flood up into our laundry room floor. The one way valve does slow the flow of water down INTO our floor drain, but this I am OK with.

I bought this for my laundry room slop sink. We have septic and this drain cover keeps the fumes at bay in our less often used drain!. Then I purchased another for our son as a gift. His washer drains into the sink. This covers when needed and releases upon necessity when the washer drains. Love it!

This works great....however it only worked great for 4 months (this is why i downgraded from 5 stars to 3) For 40 bucks it should last longer. Anyway after 4 months the smell came back. I tried to clean it but it still let the stink in. Ordered a new one and now stink is gone. We'll see how long this one lasts.

It really stops the smell that you have with aerobic system from time to time from coming back up into the shower I highly recommend

This is the second one of these I have purchased. First one worked great, just wore out after about a year. Just bough a second and the flap will not open to allow water to drain. Already destroyed packaging so not sure if I can send back.

the 2" version did not fit in my 2" shower drain. Could not get it past the flange even with the suggested "grasp the SureSeal by the exterior gasket at the point marked by the three lines" (what three lines?). Unit got stuck about ½" into flange, would go no further. Pulled on the "patented pressure relief valve" to remove and the thing came apart. Was able to reseat the valve in it's tab and am returning very expensive piece of plastic.

Works like a charm. As soon as I installed all the sewer odors went away. This device keeps all the bad sewer smells out of your home. I highly recommend it!

Lip prevents it from doing down into drain pipe. Drain cover then does not fit flush with shower floor. Recommend "Green Drain Floor Drain Trap Seal" that does but it must have at least ten inches of head pressure to open flap correctly.
