I see there is some promoting the company as usa based. is the actual product made in the usa? if not, where is it made?

Do these bend when driven into hard soil? My current ones do, despite the design

Had a cheaper version that came with a tent/hammock/tarp - no bending if you get a feel for what you are doing - which many don't when they hammer only. If a rock is hit a couple inches down, and you attempt to move or go thru a rock that is underground with a thin piece of metal - anything is going to bend when you try to force it. Take stake out, re-angle it's entry or move sideways to miss rock, or if that large and that close - use another solution. Frankly the differences in some people bending & some not - are due to skill level of people using them. Just like some people don't know to angle it, which provides plenty of hook grab then.

I'm interested in buying the black aluminum version. how many do i get? description says 12 or 16. picture shows 16.
