The Good: The light quality here is unbeatable. Colors are incredibly rich and vibrant, not pale and washed out like cheaper strips. The white light is also fantastic, going from super warm to bright cool white. It's very bright and works perfectly with the Hue app and voice assistants (Alexa, Google Home). Setup was instant. If you already use Hue, this is a flawless addition. The Bad: It's expensive. You're definitely paying the "Hue tax" for the name and quality. Also, the adhesive tape on the back is just okay. I had to use a few extra clips to keep it perfectly in place on the underside of my desk. Overall: If you want the best-in-class smart light strip with perfect app integration and beautiful colors, this is it. If you're on a budget and don't care as much about smart features, you can find cheaper options. For me, the quality was worth the price.

Easy to connect if you already have a Hue setup. The hardest part was choosing where to put them. Look great and creates so much character in a room.

These are brilliant and generate a lot of lumens. Ideal for a room without enough light fittings like my attic. For the same price i could have paid an electrician to fit a proper light but whatever, hue lights are an indulgence and I know it ! The responsiveness and hues are fantastic and I sync these with the pc for gaming and lightshow for the kids using hue dynamic app. Downsides are the adhesion is weak, this makes them removable but they will pull the paint off if you do. The natural warmth of the strip will cause the adhesive to soften and they regularly pull away ( i mounted on ceiling) but they have not fallen off in 2 months. They can be tricky to install if you have any corners and you obviously need a plug.

On sale at £15 this is definitely worth it but I would be quite bothered buying it full price, this goes for all Hue products in my opinion. That aside, you can't go wrong with Phillips products, I have about 8 Hue strips now and some extensions and very happy with the LEDs. I feel they will last a very long time.

Easy to install to existing strip

I have both the V3 and this the V4 Lightstrips. This review applies to the extension as I had little problem installing the base unit, however the extensions are not as good as the V3. First of all the connectors are smaller and don't connect as well as the old ones, so they come loose and disconnect before you can stick the lightstrips on a wall. And then there is the problem of the backing, it's not as sticky as the old ones and I had difficulty with sticking on the same wall as the base unit! Ironically, I also had issues with getting the backing strip off as this seems to pull off the adhesive strip as well! Where as it took me about 5 minutes to install the v3 version it took me 30 minutes to install these ones and badly at that. I have had to sellotape the extension strip to the base strip to stop it from disconnecting!

Bought these for kitchen they were great for giving lighting above kitchen tops

Easy to install and integrate. I use in Sauna (medium height, so won't be more than 50 degree Celsius) - works a treat in just the calming warm Spa shade I wanted!

Ich nutze Philips Hue Lightstrips schon seit Jahren im ganzen Haus und bin absolut überzeugt. Die Qualität der Farben und die Helligkeit sind unschlagbar. Die Erweiterung lässt sich kinderleicht anschließen und funktioniert sofort tadellos. Auch wenn der Preis höher ist, ist die Zuverlässigkeit und die App-Steuerung jeden Cent wert. Für mich gibt es keine bessere Smart-Home-Beleuchtung. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Éclairage d'ambiance assuré ! Possibilité de rallonger et de coupler avec d'autres lampes. Parfait pour ambiance dans chambre d'enfants/ados couplé avec Alexa et toutes les commandes se font vocalement !
