Perfect!
I’ve never had one of the hammers- I’ve always borrowed my dads! Decided it was time as I had a bunch of stakes I needed to drive into the yard! This hammer is great. It’s not so heavy that it’s hard to use- but not so light that it doesn’t work! Seems to be holding up well and I love the bright green in it- makes it easy to locate!

Well Made Hammer
I got this hammer to compare against the usual sledge hammer that I would use.Pros:- Smaller than a Sledge of the same weight- Ease to control- Comfortable Handle- Value for PriceCons:- Paint Flaking off of HammerTested this to see if I could notice a difference between using this hammer compared to a Sledge Hammer.First I found this hammer much easier to use when driving stakes into the ground. It is shorter than a Sledge so you are able to control the hammer to the point of impact better. It is small for a 3 lb hammer and is meant to be used with one hand. Basically a smaller version of a Sledge. I can see using this for smaller jobs but not something where you would really need to get a good swing on something. Only because you hand is much closer to the point of impact and if you miss it could be painful.The head of the hammer appears to be steel forged and it has been mated to a fiberglass handle. But the rubber grip is outstanding and quite comfortable when using. It is also a double faced hammer so you can use either side when striking.The reason I took away one star is because the hammer appears to be used. If it is not, then the paint on the hammer obviously does not last long and the handle was dirty and had a piece of it rubber ripped off of it. These did not take away from the functionality of the hammer however.

Small and heavy
As a diesel mechanic I didn’t feel like paying 300 for a similar hammer from my tool rep, found this guy and it’s been great. Breaks loose whatever I need it for and is nice in tight spaces.
