One of my favorite purchases
This thing is so worth the low price you will pay. I work at a prison and occasionally have to walk around the compound. I bought this early in winter and am still wearing it into spring, because it's nice to have around my neck in the mornings, and I barely notice it when it starts warming up. When it's cold I can just pull it up over my chin, and my face can stay warm, and if it's hot, well it needs to be pretty hot for this thing to make me sweat. If you need a scarf or gaiter, and you're thinking about buying one, this is the one.

Excellent product keeps me warm for hikes.
I do really long walks around Portland, OR. On a winter's day walk, it can be rather chilly and damp. I don't go out if it is teaming, but most of the time it is just a drizzle on and off and around 50 degrees. I don't wear more than a fleece and a rain jacket, as I will really get quite warm after a mile or so, but starting out, I can be rather cold. This neck gaiter keeps me quite comfortable without having to wear any heavy gear. It gives me another 5 degrees of warmth. It is super light weight and I can easily stick it in my pocket or backpack with it taking only the most minimal space. Highly recommended.

Extremely warm, good fit, and great price on Amazon
I have a thin multi-purpose pull over neck cover that I use when it is not too cold just to keep the wind off, but when I saw this for the price I decided to try it out. It is very warm and fits me well even though I am fairly large and have a big neck and head. It stays up nicely and I like the elastic, most of the ones I have used are just a tube and this keeps it in place very well. I would definitely buy this again.

Warm neck gaiter
I purchased this to keep my neck warm during a recent ski trip and I am very glad I did. It ended up being -17 degrees when we got up to Breckenridge so I got plenty of use out of this. I do like that it is slightly elastic at the base and top which makes it a snug fit when combined with a beanie. It was easy to adjust if I started getting too warm and I never had problems with fogging up my goggles. The fabric wasn't too think or heavy but it kept me warm during our trip. I would recommend this to anyone.

Just ok...
It's only 53 degrees this morning and I would say it didn't keep out the cold very well. Even with the high collared coat sealing it around my neck. I would agree that it needs to be longer and thicker. I'd pay more. In the meantime, I made my own.

Good alternative to a face mask
This was intended as a reorder of a neck gator previously purchased from Condor. Although, the vendor was the same the product was different. It was lighter weight, was one color (inside and out), and had elastic at only one end. The "neck" elastic was useful for keeping the gator in place. The work-around was to tuck the neck portion into my fleece pull-over. So, it wasn't a real problem. I wanted a second gator, because it is used as a mask replacement. It is always there and available when needed. This version works well in that capacity. It also keeps the wind off of my neck. Keep in mind that I am using it while walking around, and not riding a motorcycle. So, YMMV. The one nit pick about this version is that it has two seams, one on each side of the gator. I have to remember put it on with the seams aligned with my ears. It annoys me otherwise. The previous version did not have this issue. It is not a deal breaker, though. Would I buy it again: yes.

Works well
Keeps neck nice and warm in Afghanistan winter. The bottom fits nicely under my coat and I can either use it to cover the bottom of my face or keep it down around my neck without it bunching up and feeling weird like the last one I had did. For the price you get a nice comfortable protection against the cold.

Colorado Trail Tested Neck Gaiter
Used this neck gaiter for a thru-hike in Colorado, 500 miles worth. Kept me warm in temps down to 30F, and used in combination with the Condor Watch Cap. This gaiter can be pulled up over your nose and ears easily, has strong resilient elastic, and provides enough coverage for wind gusts and cold temperatures. Soft and lightweight fleece makes this a very versatile item, and quite cheap.
