Wedge foam is increasing popular with home recorders and professionals. Cut to a 12 by 12 inch square, these tiles are ready to be installed and should fit in most areas without any further cutting. If, however, you need to cut the foam to fit tight or oddly shaped spaces, the foam can be cut easily with scissors or, for the best result, and electric knife. These tiles are machine cut so edges are perfect and straight and not jagged. The cutting machine manufacturer does say there is a half inch tolerance. Wedge tiles eliminate nearly all echo or unwanted reverberation so you know the sounds you are recording are only the sounds you want to be recording. RECOMMENDED FOR: Most small to medium sized areas (such as vocal booths, control rooms, and studios). It is most effective against standing waves, and flutter echoes. Mounting on walls can be done with glue, tacks, nails, and/or two way tape. Note that not all mounting methods will work well with all surface types. We recommend the foam be mounted to cardboard then the cardboard be mounted to the wall. This saves the wall form unnecessary holes or glue marks. All acoustical products meet ASTM E84 Class A and California 117 flame retardancy specifications. Generally, this means if you were to briefly expose our foam to a flame, it would self-extinguish. We do not encourage or endorse anyone attempting fire retardancy tests. Also, please check building codes to meet your area's regulations before installing our acoustic foam.
