Fluon Plus PTFE Escape Prevention Coating - Set of 3 Bottles

So I ordered the fluon, sunburst ant food, and the Galileo liquid feeders off Amazon. All the packages arrived perfect and very well packaged. I have never used any of Terry's products before this. I stripped off my old fluon and apply byformica fluon. I use a open top and it did a perfect job keeping the ants in. They absolutely couldn't cross it. Next I used the liquid feeders filled with sunburst ant food. The feeders are fantastic looking and really add a lot of class to my set ups. The ants quickly found and really loved the sunburst ant food. I will be buying All of these products in the future they are of the highest quality and frankly I was very impressed. So it gets a 10 out of 10 for me. I will be doing a complete review in my YouTube channel. Really great stuff Terry keep up the fantastic work promoting our hobby!!

Fluon is a vital tool to any ant keeper - no one wants ants running around freely in the house, even ones that are pets! You get a decent amount with these and the applicators really make it easy, just make sure you clean the surfaces you plan to apply to, or else the applicator material gets dirty fast. Most species can not pass a well applied fluon strip 2”-3” wide.

This is by far the best ant barrier ever made. (Other than an air-tight lid of course). You can quite literally turn any ant outworld set up into an open top set up by using this fluon. I’ve usedOther types of fluon and have mixed my own before but it is always very opaque and unsightly. This fluon is nearly completely invisible when it dries unless you angle a light behind it in the right spot to light up the fluon (check photos). It also last extremely long! I have an open top terrarium for my ant colony and I applied this fluon to the glass 4 months ago and it is still working like I put it on yesterday. Not on single ant has escaped in 4 months with one single application! At this rate, this 3 pack last me forever. Also the design of these fluon bottles are perfect for applying the fluon evenly and continuously. The dipstick bottle makes corner application a breeze which is nice because this is where ants are the most successful at passing slippery barriers. It is rather expensive, but is worth every penny for anyone who is an ant hobbiest/entomologist!

Product is good and works just fine if you use it correctly as clearly explained in the exhaustive instructions provided in the package. But sadly i also have to report 2 flaws:1) the etiquette of the 3 packages is not the old blue one showed in the images, but is a black ink(?) printed directly on the bottles and is easily deleted by just touching it, leaving your hands dirt, which is an unnecessary nuisance. Old etiquette was just fine...2) my package seem to have experienced some sort of leaking during the storage-transport, as a result the 3 bottles were coated in fluon, and this is not a recommended condition given the potential toxicity of the substance if ingested. Good thing is that, at least, probably the leakage did not originate from my package but spilled from some other source, as my bottles where still at full capacity... i suppose...

Works just as well as insect-a-slip from BioQuip but this stuff is more expensive. The lip gloss wands are great. This does not work long for some ants depending on their climbing abilities. I have kept several different species and some get past it after a few hours and others will never get past it ever. This is a particularly expensive product compared to BioQuip but at least it's readily available on Amazon.

Product is the best barrier I’ve used- but it’s not a perfect product.My setup is a 10 gallon tank aquarium filled with dirt and have a very large colony. The barrier is always very reliable on the glass sides of the enclosure.The silicone corners however, need weekly maintenance to avoid escapes. I find I’m usually good for about 7-10 days before I need to reapply. And even then, the barrier holds up well enough so that only a few ants can make it to the top, so you’re not having massbreakouts. It’s more of the ants than it is the product, they’ll exploit any weakness in your setup.4.5/5 stars.

Thos stuff is gold for ant keepers, I hate how pricey but you cant beat how great it works , and the case it comes in is very well packed and high end quality,
