Unbelievable in soups!
As other reviewers note, the beans are creamy unlike any others. I'll add that in soups they're almost unbelievable: just soak overnight and pressure-cook with chicken, then add vegetables and slow-cook. The beans exude starch that thickens the broth to perfection, and the flavor is wonderful.

Beans for 2
These are the best kidney beans I have ever used for my red beans and rice. I have been using them for years. I won't buy anything else to make my red beans and rice. The seasoning packets make it easy to get the authentic taste of Cajun style red beans and rice. Especially if you donโt have the time too make them from scratch!! Try them, you'll like them!!!

They taste good
My wife buys these beans and she swears by them! I made the mistake of using her beans to make some red beans and rice which is a big thing around our house and I had to replace them with the same beans. No other red beans would do for her! Them sure is good beans though!

Best for red beans and rice
My uncle makes a wicked "red beans and rice" dish and he gave us the recipe. He did comment, "You can ONLY use Camellia beans and Louisiana Hot Sauce." We followed his suggestion and it came out incredibly well. These beans are large, have great texture when cooked, and are a good value for the money. We live in Hawaii and tried to find them locally, with no success. Fortunately we can order them Don't make red beans and rice with any other brand.

Dry Red Beans
Great red bean but over priced. Get them at Target which is the right price for the dry red beans.

Hey good lookin' what ya got cookin'
Simply the best... better than all the rest. My family is originally from New Orlean, LA and grew up using Camellia beans. Truly the quality can't be beat, which makes the recipes turn out extra delicious. I bought red kidney beans, Lima beans, and black eyed peas to stock our pantry for the winter. The beans look fresh and clean (no stones/ dirt, nor any blemishes on the beans). I am looking forward to cooking beans throughout winter. I will try to remember to update this review, with pictures as we start making pots of beans. "Laissez les bon temps rouler"!
