Q: This is a dumb question but how does the chin strap work? It loops down front and back through the two holes. so both ends are inside. Help Please

It will go over the front of the hat near the brim and down the holes on the sides of the hat and attach at the bottom of the chin.

Q: If it’s polyester, why can’t you wash it?

You can wash. I've washed mine a few times. Use a hat form and put on the too rack of dishwasher and run without soap on shortest cycle

It is a shade and handles the heat very well

The brim holds the shape in the picture. You can’t adjust the brim much more than what’s shown in the picture.
