A classic - must have
I've been a DrumCore user since day 1, and I was always curious if they would release something from one of my favourite drummers. When I got an e-mail that a Matt Cameron pack was being released, it was like Christmas and Haloween suddenly combined to create the best day ever.I wasn't disappointed when I got the pack. Cameron's playing is as artful as ever. You know that weird, lazy way he goes over the toms, so that one tom hit from him sounds better than a virtuosic solo from (insert mega-technical drummer name here - I don't want to insult anyone)? The way he plays odd time signatures so that you don't notice you're listening to one until you really think about it? It's all here. There's a nice variety to the recordings too, with a couple of the loops benefiting from what sounds like some heavy compression - it might be too much for some, but it works really well with aggressive metal. And don't worry, if you're not into the distinctive sound of heavily compressed drums, most of the recordings are just pristine, natural, and sound largely unprocessed. In short, there's something for every taste.Who ever thought we'd see the day where we could all have Matt Cameron on our music?

Rocking
The CameronPack is excellent. The drum sounds out of the box are among the best things out there (I use Superior Drummer and Drumcore for everything) and the patterns are thoroughly rocking as well. There is a lot of unexpected stuff that you can build from as well as cool stuff that fits with more straight ahead stuff. The Mattpack (Matt Sorum) has more fills but CameronPack has better snares and more rhythmically out-there loops.
