Read to Me (Brd)

Our 3 year old grandson (and his family therapist grandma) loved this book, which shows how stories and tales, in books and in our histories, are such an important part of childhood and growing up connected and loving. Beautiful paintings.

My 2 year old loves this book so I bought extras just in case one of them gets lost or destroyed. I've read it so many times, I've memorized it.

Easy reading nice bright colors but the storyline is confusing.

Very cute book, I enjoy reading it to my children.

Read to Me (written by Judi Moreillon and illustrated by Kyra Teis) is a cardboard book that would make a perfect bedtime story. Each spread shows people reading together. Books are read indoors and outdoors, in homes and on beaches. Older adults, younger adults, women, men, and children are shown sharing books joyfully with other children. Multi-cultural characters include Asians, African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Caucasians with light hair and dark hair, and Indians. The rhymes carry the early literacy message: Sing, talk, read, and play with your children.This book would make a great give-away (perhaps as a Summer Reading Prize for parents with very young children) because of its soothing text, intentional message for parents, and warm illustrations of joyful interactions with books. This small book is perfect! The illustrations are colorful without being garish, the poem is gentle and beautiful! This book will be enjoyed by many little ones in my family for years to come. I just love it!
