First off, this is NOT a tie out lead. It is nylon which does not like living outside. I am about to purchase my 3rd lead because our husky cannot be left alone outside while she is in heat. For the durability, our hound dog is strong enough to yank me off the bench if she gets a good run going and I am not a thin woman. The leash holds up to her bull-like strength and we are starting our second year on it. More on durability - if you have a dog that likes to chew fabric and they can reach it - they will chew it and it will break because it is nylon. If you do not leave your dog unsupervised while using the lead or store it where they can reach it (the reason this is our 3rd purchase) you will not have an issue.

I bought the 1 inch width in 20 inch long for my yorkie. I live in an area where my order lhasapoo and I was chased by owls and hawks before trying to eat her so I don’t care to have them off a leash now after I had to chase my dog down cover with my body scoop her up then run for our lives. The next time it happened my husband happen to be with us. I love this leash I put it around me. My dog plays while I read my book or walk but still gets her exploring time.

Got this for my puppy so I can catch her easier when she's outside. Just what I needed - the only thing that would make it better would be a padded handle.

If you need a long leash, this is it. It's not even for the price. This is just a good leash. have had ones from the pet store fall apart and this didn't. But the price makes everything better. I would buy ten if I needed to.

I don't have a fenced yard. I use this leash when playing fetch with my dog. She gets to enjoy her favorite activity outdoors because of the 50' leash.

I’ve used a training leash before and this one seemed sub-standard. The worst feature was that it was not easy to hold. Seemed relatively flimsy. Might work on a very small dog but I wouldn’t want to hold it. Returned.

Once you get used to the length, the long lead has been instrumental for puppy training.
