A great device for legs that need help!
My son wrote this because his legs are the worst! RENPHO Leg Massager with heat Day 1 - PM (1st day, before bed). Took a while to learn the system. Tried different programs, "high" with low heat seemed most effective (heat an issue without AC in house). Unsure on times or cycles, switched several times trying different levels of compression, heat and "boot" fit. Mostly an expeimental run. System is really bulky. *Note: use bathroom BEFORE putting unit on! Day 2 - AM; 2-20min cycles on high. Reduced swelling in foot and calf but not ankle (that swelled a little worse but worked out in 30min). Think I figured out the boot fit & which program to use. Running with boot tight on highest compression and low heat works best PM; swelling particularly bad, did 3-20min cycles, reduced swelling greatly. Day 3 - AM: 2-20min cycles. Helped all lower leg but ankles. Think this needs an ankle section. Pressure seems to pool fluid from feet up but leaves pocket around ankle. PM: 3-20min cycles. Was having "tingling" pains in foot; better after compression. Day 4 - AM; 3-20min cycles. Swelling was particularly bad on waking. 3 cycles helped a lot. Midday; 1-20min cycle. Was feeling a lot of pressure in feet. Laid down for 45 min, ran 1-20cy. Helped a lot PM: 3-20min cycle. Not sure what was up today with left leg swelling but unit helped bring it down. Day 5 - AM: 2-20min cycle. Had "jetlag" in left leg from day before. AM cycle helped and less swelling in ankles. PM: 4-20min cycle. 1st cycle hurt a little. used light setting 2nd & 3rd cy. Felt better, used heavy cycle last 20min cycle. Day 6 - AM; 3-20min cycle. Helped a LOT PM; 1-20min cycle. Day 7 - AM: 1-20min cycle. Same results as before. Had errand to run late afternoon, gave 1-20min cycle before leaving. Helped in walking. Had fall in evening, sprained ankle and bruised back. Discontinued use temporarily Day 7, 8, 9 - no us due to sprained ankle & swelling Day 10 - AM session, 2-20min cycles. Compression helped except for swelling around ankle (as expected) Got in new compression socks, seems to sustain effects of compression longer (checked mid-day) PM session, 1-20min cycle. *Wore with compression sock ON. Swelling low from start due to compression socks, machine helped reduce more. Day 11 - AM; 1-20min cycle on med... switched to high halfway through PM: 2-20min cycle. Day 12 - AM 1-20min cycle. Slept with compression socks on and only needed a single cycle to bring swelling down. (to be continued) OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: It takes a bit of effort to figure out this system. It is bulky and you better go to the bathroom BEFORE you put it on... otherwise you are walking like Darth Vader dragging hoses and a control unit with you. There are many programs and varieties you can select (individual sections, intensity, heat) but I found simply strapping it on, hitting power then selecting "high" worked best for me. I would typically run 2-20 minute cycles to see noticeable results but some days I would run one on medium and another on high (sometimes a 3rd). Real useful in the mornings before you get up then in the evenings before bed when your feet are swollen the most. One complaint; there's no compression around the ankles so while your feet and lower legs are good, there might be remaining swelling around the ankles that sometimes is slightly worse. If I can add useful feedback, have an ankle wrap section that can be switched out with the thigh... or just do a 4-piece system. After a week, I began using compression socks in conjunction with the compression therapy... this worked wonderfully! The unit would reduce swelling and the socks would make the effects last longer. Overall, I'll give it 9-1/2 out of 10. It WORKED except around the ankle and it is somewhat bulky and clumsy (as to expected with a device like this). However, the benefits outweigh any minor negatives and I have incorporated this highly-useful device into my daily regiment both in waking up and before bed. This is a real useful and beneficial system that is helping me to control a growing issue in my health. I will continue to use it daily in conjunction with compression socks to improve my overall lower leg and foot issues.

An RN's Review- One of the best available -less swelling & pain-improved circulation
I am a nurse and use these type compression sleeves all the time in the hospital after surgery. These are one of the best pneumatic compression leg sleeves I have seen used at home. My husband has a clotting disorder that led to DVTs and leg swelling in his L leg. He tried all kinds of products and wears compression hose all day. He still has swelling. After 1 20 min. use of these compression sleeves, we noticed a 2 cm difference in his swelling at the ankles- I measured. He used them 3 nights in a row and there was a 0.5cm difference between his two legs. That is absolutely remarkable from a medical standpoint. His swelling went down, his muscle tone improved due to better circulation. He has less pain (From 6/10 to 2/10). He says his legs have so much energy and less heaviness. He now wears them 3-4 nights/week. OUR Only complaint- slightly cumbersome to put on by yourself. It is easiest if you lay on top of them in bed and fasten them tightly with the velcro tabs. Easier for someone else to assist with this. I still think these could be a life saver for some. Well worth the investment. Laura RNC, MSN

It's compression and heat.
Tldr: Good compression heat if need 1 device/budget. Thighs are tricky to use, no orientation, probably want the compression/squeezing parts under foot, around calf, and under thigh. -1 star for the thigh part lack if instructions. I got the trifecta, feet, calves, thighs. It's tricky to put on and thighs are really tough. You can't shift positions since your muscles size changes in different positions. The heat is good, and I think you want the bottom seams to be on the inner side. Basically tube's underneath for thighs. You can pick from 3 intensity, 2 heats 3 of you count off. You can also choose different individual sections, but then it kinda defeats the purpose of buying the full leg. I didn't have any problems with the wires, it was 1 tube for calve+foot and another for thighs. It has a bag that everything goes into and it plugs into the sole controller+power cord. I'm going to return this and just get the more expensive calve one. That one isn't hsa/fsa though and the price is like double. The reason is because for the full 20 minutes/cycle it'll focus on one group, versus this one does 3. I already bought the foot and hand held gun, and I suffer from tight calves, sore feet/heel and then knot in the back traps. If you need 1 single device that does compression and heat this will work. The thigh probably works best seated on a bed/table rather than a chair, also with no pants/shorts unless you get those really short running shorts. Since I've been using my fsa/hsa devices for specific muscle groups work better for me, since I use the non guns on max intensity. The gun I use for target points like my back traps issue. Oh yeah I also have the solar powered scale which is how I got into this brand.

I purchased this as a gift for my wife and received it on time and decided she deserved an early Christmas present. This massager is simply amazing and easy to use. She literally passed out comfortably trying it for the first time because it was so relaxing and gave her that much needed thigh, calf and foot massage all in one. The heated option is also a bonus. The only drawback we found was all the wiring and tubing but it really isn't a major problem since it's part of the design. We definitely recommend this for those looking to get a relaxing lower body massage after a long day/night at work or on a lazy weekend.
