These seem really good!
A couple weeks ago I was helping a relative organize their garage after a move. We all wore cloth masks and kept 6 feet apart, but it was nice to feel a connection to family after so many months of just zoom and facetime. I thought the mask fit well and was doing its job, but at one point a dust bunny flew in the side of my mask and up my nostril. My sister's a nurse who's dealt with lots of COVID patients and she says sometimes in a hurry she's only had a cloth mask around COVID patients but she's been fine. I'd like to feel more protected, though. I'm a teacher in California, and I'll likely have students in my classroom next month, so I guess I'm buying peace of mind. I think these will do the trick. It's hard to get a perfect seal around the nose, but the nose wire is better than any cloth mask I've tried. Around the rest of my face it feels like a good seal. It's comfortable and I can breathe fine, but I can feel a tiny bit of resistance to air-flow through the mask, which I find reassuring. They don't smell bad, they just smell like my own breath. And I did cut them open to confirm there are four layers--the two filter layers in the middle tend to stick. They're a little pricey, but they're a lot cheaper than the disability insurance my superintendent offered that probably wouldn't pay out for COVID anyway.

Satisfied.
The masks came in a more than adequately labeled box. Each mask is individually wrapped in plastic. The ear loops are a bit more comfortable than most. The masks are labelled as 4-ply polypropylene. It does indeed seem to be heat-blasted polypropylene as indicated by a simple flammability and static-cling test. My face trends along the thin and smallish side so the fit I've noticed is most likely intended for persons with wider and flatter faces, but it fits well enough for a workday and a bit of medical tape makes for a complete seal. The breathability is good, comparable to a blue surgical mask, and better than most fabric masks I've worn. The masks came with numerous certifications printed on the outermost layer. They appear as such: C€ 2797 (an EU product certification used commonly for electronics and medical equipment certifying safety from basic contaminants) HDK-95 ( this I believe is the company's internal product designation?) EN149:2001 + A1:2009 FFP2 NR (the EU certification for masks blocking small-to-medium particles with at least 94% efficacy) GB 2626-2006 KN-95 (the Hong Kong and Chinese certification for masks filtering small-to-medium particles with at least 95% efficiacy) The masks are marked as produced for Clinova Limited (a UK medical company) by Henan Haodekang Devices Co. Limited (a Chinese medical, rehabilitation, and fumigation device company). The price at this moment in time is a bit above historical averages, but at about £ 2.30 per mask (2.99 $ / € 2.55) it's not too much, especially considering these types of masks have been bought out for exclusive use by the authorities in many countries.

Pretty good. No not a medical N95 but looks better then cloth or paper.
So sum reviews claim these a falsely labelled. The are dust masks, KN95 type; which means three design was tested (in england it says) to indicate they stop 95% of small particals. N95 masks have to pass different standards and tests). (Medical grade masks of any type have to be cleared for sale by government agencies). If they claimed to be medical masks or have a medical purpose, they could not be sold in the US, as this they would be medical devices, and the FDA is not mentioned in the listing, I'm guessing the factory is not certified to produce a medical devices anyway. And KN95 standards are not accepted by the FDA. You will not find medical grade N95 on Amazon. And I there is no such claim here. Still the CDC says KN95 are useful to reduce the spread of covid-19. And many other sources say KN95 is better than most other non medical device masks (and none N95 dusk masks). (There are also medical and non medical N95 masks). These seem to be ok quality KN95 dust masks. There are what would appear to be holes in them. But a close look shows these are weld spots, where the bed is turned into a thin clear film. I do not like this feature, but these are not holes. They fit me fairly well. I have to be honest. I have a fat face, they may not fit you. Looks like one reviewer with a narrow face can not use these. The straps are spot welded on. If you expect to use these for a log time they may break. At about $2.50 they are over priced, but less then a month ago. I plan to use mine if I have to travel for work. Hopefully, by spring I will keep them for dust masks. Btw unless you are over 65 , maybe do not buy N95 medical masks for yourself, let's let the health care workers get them, and give whatever is left over to other essential workers. ,

These masks fit; they are light and comfortable; and they work
8/22/21 Update: I have ordered other KN95 masks to compare them to this one, which has been my go-to mask during most of the pandemic. The Covaflu face mask continues to compare favorably. I ordered several boxes at about $30 for a box of 10 and they have come down to $10 or less per box of 10, so they are an even better value now. I still double mask with a surgical type mask either under or over the Covaflu -- you can't be too careful with the deadlier Delta virus going around -- but this is the one mask I would trust the most after comparing them with dozens of others. Original Review: I would prefer an N95 to a KN95 but you cannot get the N95 so I went with the alternative and I was happy with the results. The Covaflu masks fit well, forming a tight but light and comfortable seal with ear loops rather than over-the-head loops. They are also fairly priced relative to others. I bought 3M N95's for the California fires from a few years back, and they are not nearly as comfortable as the Covaflu KN95. I was concerned about the slight smell that a few reviewers noted but to me it was slight and it did not bother me as it was not as bad as the N95. I have bought 7 packages of this product and for now, after ordering and trying dozens of different masks, it is my go-to mask when I need to venture outside to brave the pandemic.

UPSCALE FIT AND COMFORT BUT LIMITED PROTECTION
For the last year, we've all tried on masks with a varying level of comfort and fit. Mostly, never ideal. Some positives about the COVAFLU masks are: Individually packaged and sealed per mask... They fold in half... Elastic bands are a bit wider and softer than most other masks... The material is 4-ply (most KN95 masks are 5 layer)... The fit is very good... The material is softer than most other masks. Material is 100% polypropylene. The negatives are: Made In China. I so wish say 3M or any USA based firm could come up with quality this good... These are KN95 rated masks and NOT K95 rated. These masks are not NIOSH approved. A bit more pricey than others. A fair purchase overall but below Covid standards.
