This guide is easy and informative to flip through while drinking coffee or watching television. I really loved all the pictures provided. I have always wanted to visit Italy, and this guide make me wants to go there even more. If I ever visit, I know the places in Florence and Tuscany I have to make it a point to travel to. I liked learning about some of the area's history and pop culture references, I would really love to visit one day! This book was provided to me in return for my unbiased opinion.

Good book

This is a well written guide to travel in the area of Florence, Italy. It is quite descriptive and gives a lot of great suggestions as to places to eat and places for entertainment and travel. There are tips given which might familiarize one with the traditions and practices of the area, and the colorful wording and descriptions of the natural scenery make the natural beauty and appeal even greater to the reader. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going to travel in the area of Florence, Italy. This travel guide was made available to me for free in exchange for a nonbiased review.

i found this book a complete waste of money. i ordered the rick steven's book for rome and found it far superior. i was extremely disappointed in this book. it was very elementary and did not provide much detail at all. i've already dropped it off at half price books.

It is a pocket guide and won't take up too much room in your pocket. I expect that one could get much, much more information from a guide like Rick Steve's, etc.

Although this is designed to be a pocket travel guide, it is a little bit too large to fit in a pocket. I would have liked a little more detail. Therefore I can't really recommend it

General info but helpful

I have been planning a trip to Florence and found this book very helpful. This book introduced the most popular places you should go and very easy to follow. It saved me a lot of time to plan the trip.
