This works great in low humidity areas and it’s really easy to set up. This system is made to attach to any standard garden hose. You run the lines around the area you want and that's really about. You can link systems together if you need longer versions. They lower the outside temperature about 10 degrees which makes a big difference. The lines are made from a high quality PVC material that should have no problem holding up over time. I didn’t have any issues with leaks and so far it’s working great to cool our patio space on those hot afternoon days. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fairly easy to set up, instructions could be better, no washer included, easy to customize *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2021* I ran it up the large umbrella on my patio with zip ties (did not use the included white ones), then over toward the canopy edge, and over each arm of the frame. Used smaller zip ties (also my own colored ones, not the included white ones) to secure the misters. It works great and even if I tilt the umbrella, there is no issue. Primarily using this to cool off the area when I'm grilling. The umbrella blocks the sun, and now the misters cool the area down significantly.After I opened the box and looked at the included items and the instructions, I had a few questions in mind and decided to watch a Youtube video and see what someone else has already discovered. In doing so, it saved me a bit of frustration I think. In the Youtube video the guy had a different brand, but basically the same thing. I saw that a rubber washer + screen should have been included, so I looked for this before connecting. It was missing and so it would have leaked for sure at the host bib, and the screen is there to help filter out large particles. Also the guy found some of the brass misters were dripping instead of misting, and he saw they just needed tightening, so I tightened all mine before turning it on. It was not clear from instructions how to remove the 1/4 tube from the misting couplers, but watching the video helped with that too. It's actually really easy. Since all of the tubing can be easily removed from the misting couplers, you can easily shorten the overall length (or add to it I would assume). The last misting coupler in the chain (at the end) has a plug, which can be easily removed just like the tubing, then just put in a different coupler. This should be easily extendable using standard 1/4 tubing like I use for my drip system. In fact, I removed one of the misting couplers (between the umbrella pole and the first arm of the frame) and put in a standard, barbed 1/4 connector. Same exact thing I use for my drip tubing.UPDATE: One thing I did not consider at first, was what will happen when cranking the canopy down (to strap it closed). Turns out, the misting tubing and misters adds enough extra bulk that it was really hard get the velcro strap around it. I added a 6 inch strip of double sided velcro to basically extend the strap, now it works fine.Also, I really didn't like having the hose pulled over to the base of the umbrella. Easy to trip over and it was tying up the hose, which I need for other purposes. Since this 1/4 tubing is really the same as the drip irrigation tubing, I can use all of those elbows, tees, etc. So I cut off the end that connects to hose bib, ran some 1/4 tubing with 2 elbow connectors over to near the hose bib. Then I reconnected that end I had cut off, to the hose bib. Now there's just a tiny 1/4 tube crossing the patio instead of the garden hose. (see photo 3, 4 and 5 for these mods)Also, I took one of the spare misting couplers and inserted it just after the hose bib connector. This will allow me to disconnect the whole thing when winter comes. To keep that couple from misting, I bought a 4 pack of brass misting plugs and used one there. So now it's just a coupler, no misting. Another thing that was annoying, the misting was kind of soaking the end tray on my gas grill, so I put a brass plug in the mister right above it. There was another mister that was still getting the grill a bit wet, and I just turned that one so it sprays away from the grill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked to create a fine, cooling mist of water *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2020* I actually bought this to put around my central air conditioning unit. I put the tubes around the unit so that the mist could be pulled through the coils/fins of the compressor unit. The mist seems to have improved the efficiency of the unit, cooling the coils much more quickly when it's running on a hot day. The unit cycles off noticeably sooner.The mist feels nice on the skin, too, because it's so fine.
