Really great cinnamon

The tall glass jar (Yes, glass! It can easily be reused, repurposed, or recycled nicely.) comes with a plastic shaker cap, and a metal screw-on lid. This spice is certified USDA Organic. Why is that important? Similar to non-organic food, many spices are treated with chemicals (pesticides and herbicides), contain GMOs and are irradiated. Most of us aren’t super familiar with the process of irradiation. Radiation is used to kill bacteria and other contaminants, leaving the finished product with decreased levels of vitamins and natural enzymes. Irradiation also changes the chemical composition of a spice, potentially creating toxic, carcinogenic by-products in the food. Furthermore irradation increasing our exposure to free radicals. Yikes! Nearly all spices sold in the United State are fumigated (sterilized) with chemicals that are banned in Europe. Hazardous stuff! Thankfully, was have an affordable alternative in the Simply Organic line. I'm not an endorsed reviewer, but I really like their spices. Neither do I mean to sound "preachy," but, we really do need to be aware of what we're putting inside our bodies. Continuing on... Rosemary is a Mediterranean herb that has been used for cooking and medicinal purposes for thousands of years. It has a warm, spicy scent and complements many food and skincare goods: soups, stews, poultice in homemade tea/lemonade, infused it in oil, you can even add this to your homemade soaps or lotions. Be sure to keep it in a cool dark place. If you aren’t going to be cooking it for a long time, it’s recommended that you dice the needles more to prevent an uncomfortable, prickly feeling in your mouth. It’s important to check the expiration date on our spices to prevent staleness or lack of potency. The bottom of Simply Organic bottles have a "best by" date to assure that you’re not getting sold old stock.

Excellent product, I did deduct one star because of a part of the plant I found in there (I was just expecting sprigs only). It is organic and maybe I was just being too judgmental on the plant matter, lol. Value for the money is amazing. Added great flavor to dinner last night! I will be buying more when I run out.

I love to cook and I have tried man brands of Rosemary. I prefer glass bottles, as this was, and it was packed full to the top with herbs which smelled fresh and delicious! I recommend this product highly!
