So, it's stainless fretwire. Great. It's only enough to do about 8 1/2 frets, if that. Also, the ends of the tangs are nipped which makes the very ends unusable, unless you want some frets with minimal tang engagement. I'm not talking 1-2 mm, I'm talking at least 5, almost 6 at the ends. Then there's the fact that it comes bent in about an 8" radius, which requires you straighten the fretwire, then rebend it for the radius of your fretboard. If you don't have a fretwire bender, it's going to be a task that isn't simple to get it straight and not twisted.By the time you get enough of this fretwire to complete one neck, it's much easier to simply order Stewmac's at $29.99 and Stewmac vendors don't nip the tang anywhere on the entire length.I'm giving two stars because, at the very least, they didn't advertise as maliciously as others as they give the true lengths of the fretwire bundle. The issue with the description is that it states it is "Great for new guitar building or guitar repair work! " which would lead one to assume it's enough for an entire neck. At $9.99 for a third of the neck, you see why it is much better to grab Stewmac's version. I have ordered TONS of the Stewmac wire and each bundle is enough, plus waste for an entire neck. Save the time, money, and frustration in receiving this and get the Stewmac bundle. Know the sizing before you order and the Stewmac is the highest quality you can come by. Plus, Stewmac actually builds guitars and won't mislead with phrases such as already demonstrated. I guess one gets what one pays for...

It's good fret wire. I'm a guitar builder and have tried a bunch of fret wire. This is well made wire, files well and it easy to polish. I will buy again. Make sure you know what size you're after before you order.
