Dennis Bergkamp's record of 120 goals for the Gunners in eleven years barely measures the impact the Dutchman had at Arsenal. His high-profile signing signalled a daring change of outlook for the Club, that Arsenal wanted flair. With total vision of the pitch, he became the fulcrum of the team that won three league titles and four FA Cups. Arsenal fans, teammates and opponents marvelled at his exquisite technique, underrated strength, immaculate timing and ruthless exploitation of both space and angles. He was one of the instrumental and devastating "Invincibles" team which went unbeaten in the Premier League in 2003/04. Dennis Bergkamp: Legend includes an exclusive and candid interview with the Dutch Master; his finest moments; and tributes from Arsene Wenger, former teammates including Ian Wright and Thierry Henry, and Gunners greats Bob Wilson and Liam Brady who all pay homage to one of the most gifted players to grace English football.

Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle where he flicks it to himself on the spin is still one of the greatest things I've ever seen on a sporting field.

Standard formula, followed well gives plenty of entertainment
There's a fairly basic formula for these sorts of DVDs which this one follows and follows closely. Lots of football clips, assorted interviews (with a few notable absences telling you who has fallen out with who), some uplifting music and repeated references to how wonderful the subject is.When the subject is Dennis Bergkamp and the clips are of him scoring goals, it's a formula that works well. You won't get any deep insights into the man or the game, but that isn't what this is for; it is for lots of entertainment watching one of the most skilled footballers of his generation at work. The DVD extra is a a compilation of all his goals. Short clips from only one camera angle usually, but at least with a DVD you have got rewind and pause. The production quality generally is pretty good. The quality of the footage for some of the goals varies greatly, making it also a mini-history of how much the quality of TV football coverage has improved over the years.
