It can cook rice
So I followed one youtuber for cooking recipes and one day she was showing using electric lunch box for her quick and hot lunch at work. It amazed me how this small lunch box can do. The most interesting thing is it can cook rice, not only heating up the food but it can cook steam rice. So I followed its direction, 1 scoop of uncooked rice and 2 scoops of water for 20 minutes, I have freshly cooked rice at work. I can also steam veggies on the upper tray, then I have a hot lunch at work ready within less than 30 minutes. The most important is I don’t have to wait for my turn for the microwave to heat up my food. My co-workers are excited like me and all ask where I got it from. I am thinking this is not only good for work but good for camping too, as long as there is an electronic source to plug it in.

Love it!
It came with everything pictured and worked like a charm! I found this lunchbox from a tiktoker and had to have it! First night made a delicious baked potato!

Cooked food while away
This micro rice cooker which is essentially what this is works all right but it's nothing to write home about. Instructions are useless and figuring out measurements-- you're going to have to play around at what works. For example, a two egg omelet in the small container seems to need maybe half of the measure of water even less, and buttering the stainless steel pan didn't help it at all with sticking you probably need a thick layer and still you're going to be soaking and scrubbing it out. Generally speaking, short grain rice or Jasmine requires a one-to-one ratio rice and water but a lot depends on the rice. This unit will only make enough rice for one serving for one person and by serving I mean a small serving not the gigantic bowl that some people will be used to eating who are rice eaters. You can cook a dish like steamed chicken and veg on top if you cut the pieces very small. You can steam your broccoli or asparagus the same cut it small because this is a very tiny unit. The idea of this is to make hot food at work without going out, and considering that you can't even go out and many cases anymore that's quite useful. Around my office the only options are fast food. And of course the office microwave is a pandemic waiting to happen all in its own. Don't go there, girlfriend. We won't talk about the office fridge at all. So you can pack food the night before or the morning of work and at your little cubicle assuming you have a cubicle and not a shared desk, you can have your rice steaming away and eat at your desk while propping a faked picture up in front of your Zoom monitor. Do remember to mute, slurping and burping are bad video manners. This brand is an imitation of the Itaki that costs about twice as much and it probably is half as good but for traveling or being stuck in a room with little options for eating, this is not a bad little unit once you figure out how to use it. I've been stuck at meetings for a week with food that I wouldn't feed to my dogs. Worse yet I have some allergies (nuts) which they carefully note before we go, and then inevitably forget about, so I've learned to bring my own food in coolers for these meeting, frequently at resort hotels with no nearby restaurants and expensive and lousy options. Of course, we didn't have any meetings in 2020 but when they start up again, I plan to put rice and cut up veg in my cooler and bring this along and then I can have a lunch and dinner of steamed rice and veg and even tofu that is tetra- packed. There are sauces you can bring in bottles that will hold in a cooler and I'll be set. It's better than a week of raw fruit and carrots. Truck drivers, people staying in motels, and people with food allergies who are traveling will probably get a good benefit out of this inexpensive unit. Practice how get reliable cooked food when you're at home and you'll be all set.

Great when a microwave isn’t available
This little guy right here was worth the purchase! My daughter is in college and she is able to heat her lunch up rather than stand in line for the microwave! No radiation in the reheated food is a perk !

Flimsy and cheap
This was intended to be a gift. Fortunately, I have time to find something else. When it arrived, the box was not sealed - the top was barely even closed. The lunch box is extremely cheaply made and flimsy. When I tested it with water, the container leaked. The instructions are in English but are almost incomprehensible - and I work with many students who don't speak good English, so I'm usually pretty good at deciphering things. Overall, NOT a good purchase.

power to steam cook food! great for lunch!
The media could not be loaded. If your looking for a descent priced ELB get it. I like making rice, eggs, steam veggies, proteins in it when the microwave was broken at work. it works! as for as quality the structure is made out of full plastic not shiny plastic. there is no timer and one button so keep an eye on it if need to add more water to cook longer or not.

Beware: Cords don’t work properly…FIRE HAZARD!!
The media could not be loaded. Got the original and the cord only works if you hold it into the unit because it doesn’t fit properly. Requested a replacement and was sent one that didn’t have all the parts BUT ALSO the cord didn’t work for it AT ALL….just returned it for a refund but these cords don’t work yall so beware.
